    Medical Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in New Mexico

    A medical helicopter had to make an emergency landing at Kirtland Central High School, in Kirtland, New Mexico, on January 12th.

    The chopper was transporting a patient from Kayenta Health Center in Kayenta, Arizona, when the pilot received a low fuel indication and decided to make an emergency landing.

    The helicopter landed safely. The patient was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

    Allegiant Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Maryland after Brakes Indication

    AllegiantAllegiant flight G4-822 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Baltimore- Washington International Airport, Baltimore, Maryland, on March 13.

    The Airbus A320-200, en-route from Saint Petersburg, Florida to Elmira, New York, was mid-air above Baltimore when the crew reported abnormal brakes indication and decided to divert.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    All passengers on board remained safe. They were accommodated in a replacement plane.

    AirAsia Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Philippines

    AirAsia ZestAirAsia Flight Z2 763 had to make an emergency landing at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Cebu, Philippines, on December 15.

    It s believed that the pilots of the plane, flying from Manila, declared emergency due to a hydraulic problem in its landing gear.

    According to Philippines Air Asia, “The plane had technical issue on its way to the ramp and had to be towed. Safety and engineering teams are currently checking the cause.”

    There were 166 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    American Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Phoenix

    American Airlines flight AA-1422 had to return and make an emergency landing in Phoenix, Arizona, on June 16th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for San Jose, California, but had to return shortly afterwards due to cabin temperature problems.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and fifty-seven passengers and five crew members remained unharmed.

    American Airlines Flight Hits Coyote at Wilmington International Airport

    American Airlines flight AA-5224 returned to Wilmington International Airport, North Carolina, on October 9th.

    According to the airport authorities, the Canadair CRJ-900 plane hit a coyote during takeoff which caused damage to the nose gear. The crew continued takeoff but subsequently returned to Wilmington Airport.

    The coyote was killed.

    Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Why: After crossing the Atlantic, the crew of the American Airlines Boeing 777 suspected a fuel leak, and diverted to Chicago where they made a safe landing. Passengers were provided an alternative flight to complete the journey.
