    British Airways Flight Returns to Heathrow Airport due to Landing Gear Malfunction

    British Airways flight BA295 had to return and make an emergency landing at Heathrow Airport in London, United Kingdom, on January 30.

    The plane took off for Chicago, but had to return after the pilot reported a landing gear problem.

    The plane dumped fuel before safely landing on three sets of wheel instead of five.

    Laudamotion Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Dusseldorf

    Laudamotion flight OE-3160 had to return and make an emergency landing in Dusseldorf, Germany, on November 9th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Faro, Portugal, but had to turn back due to a suspected bird strike.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Aerolineas Argentinas Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Smoke Indication

    Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR-2714 had to make an emergency landing in Posadas, Argentina, on March 20th.

    The Embraer ERJ-190 plane heading from Ministro Pistarini International Airport to Cataratas del Iguazu International Airport, Argentina, was diverted after the crew received indication of smoke in the cabin.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All sixty-eight people aboard remained unharmed.

    Unruly Passenger Forces Delta Emergency Landing on Christmas Night

    250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight 81 had to make an emergency landing on Christmas night, at Albuquerque International Sunport, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

    The Boeing 767, en-route from Atlanta to Los Angeles, was diverted after the pilot reported a ‘security threat’ due to a disruptive passenger on-board.

    The plane, carrying more than 200 passengers, landed shortly after 6 p.m. The police escorted the unruly passenger out of the plane.

    The flight was able to take off again after around 90 minutes.

    According to Airport spokesperson Daniel Jiron, the man was not charged but was not allowed to board the flight again.

    Everglades Emergency Landing

    What: single-engine Aero Commander 112 en route from Everglades Airpark
    Where: Everglades Airpark south of Everglades City
    When: Sunday, January 25, 2009
    Who: pilot, 60-year-old William O’Neil, and passenger, 53-year-old Jeanne Graham
    Why: After takeoff, the plane reportedly lost power , and the pilot attempted to bring the plane back down on the runway. Collier County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Karie Partington said “But it kind of bounced off the runway and into some brush.” Only minor injuries were reported

    LGW Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter Plane Diverts to Switzerland due to Open Door Indication

    LGW Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter flight AB-8621 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Geneva Airport, Le Grand-Saconnex, Switzerland, on May 28th.

    The de Havilland Dash 8-400 flying to Dusseldorf, Germany, on behalf of Air Berlin, had to return due to an open door indication.

    The plane landed safely.

    No injuries were reported.
