Air India flight AI-410 had to return and make an emergency landing in Patna, India, on June 28th.

The plane landed safely. All one hundred and twenty-two passengers aboard remained unharmed.
China Southern Airlines flight CZ-3688 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Hohhot Baita International Airport, Inner Mongolia, China, on July 4th.
The Boeing 737-800, en-route from Beijing, to Guiyang, in China, had to divert due to some issue with on of its engines. The crew had to shut the engine down mid-night.
The plane landed safely.
No one was injured.
A Jet2 flight heading to Murcia, Spain, from East Midlands Airport, had to divert and make an emergency landing at Charles de Gaulle airport, Paris, at 4:58 p.m. on June 10.
The flight took off from East Midlands Airport at 3:45 p.m. and was expected to land in Murcia at 7:10 p.m.
A spokesperson for the airline said the diversion was a “precautionary measure due to a technical fault…The aircraft landed safely and all passengers are being looked after by our crew and will continue onto Murcia as soon as possible. We would like to apologize to our customers for the delay to the start of their holiday.”
American Airlines Flight 123 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport, California, on September 18.
The plane, heading from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Texas to Honolulu, Hawaii, was diverted after the pilot noticed a mechanical issue.
The plane landed safely on runway 25-R. All 216 passengers remained unhurt.
S7 Airlines flight S7-925 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Podgorica, Montenegro, on April 28th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Moscow, Russia, to Tivat, Montenegro, was diverted due to an issue with the flaps.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Allegiant Air Flight 500 had to make an emergency landing at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 22nd.
The plane took off for Indianapolis, Indiana, however, one of its tires deflated during takeoff, prompting the crew to turn back.
The plane landed safely. All 202 passengers and 7 crew members remained unhurt.

Why: After takeoff, the gear did not retract and (as was observed) the gear doors remained open. We presume the pilots did a fly-by that was the source of the visual conformation of the issue at hand.
An hour and a half after takeoff, with emergency crews on standby, the pilots landed back in Capetown (3.20pm), and was towed.
Passengers were provided hotel accommodations. The replacement flight was scheduled for Jan 5, 2012.
