    Nagpur Landing with Faulty Hydraulics

    What: Air India Airbus A319-100 en route from Mumbai to Nagpur
    Where: Nagpur
    When: May 24th 2011
    Who: 153 passengers
    Why: On approach to Nagpur, the pilot reported “a technical fault.” The plane developed a hydraulic problem. Pilots made a safe landing at the Nagpur airport. There is no mention if the foam was employed or if emergency services were on standby. The return flight was cancelled. Passengers were provided accommodations until the replacement flight.

    Pegas Fly Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Russia

    Pegas Fly Airlines flight IK-2561 had to divert for an emergency landing in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, on January 18th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Perm, Russia, to Nha Trang, Vietnam, was diverted after all the toilets became inoperative.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Airliner Lands in Emergency in South Russia

    A Passenger jet had to make an emergency landing in Astrakhan, Russia, on the evening of September 13.

    The incident happened when the airliner was on its way from Moscow to Gabala, Azerbaijan.

    According to the police, “It has been established that a passenger born in 1963 hit a female flight attendant in the face without cause out of hooligan motives. The hooligan was detained by the transport police who had arrived at the scene.”

    The passenger was arrested and the court has issued his detention orders on charges of disorderly conduct.

    Cessna Emergency Landing Key Largo


    On Feb 24, 2013, a Cessna 336/337 en route from North Perry Airport Hollywood Florida to Florida Keys Marathon Airport went down in Biscayne Bay, Bayfront Park in Homestead after the pilot lost power.

    There were four people aboard. After the plane was upside down, the pilot and passengers came out from under the plane. They were taken to Black Point Marina and from there to a local hospital for minor injuries.

    It was termed a forced landing (wheels up) in Biscayne Bay.

    There were no fatalities.

    Blue Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Romania

    Blue Air flight 0B-2931 had to return and make an emergency landing in Bacau, Romania, on August 10th.

    The Boeing 737-400 plane took off for Luton Airport, England, but had to return shortly afterwards due to cabin pressurization problems.

    The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    MAS Flight Returned to Kuala Lumpur due to Cabin Pressure Issues

    Malaysia AirlinesMalaysia Airlines flight MH70, en route from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, to Tokyo’s Narita Airport, had to return and make an emergency landing at 1:00 p.m. on August 23.

    The decision for returning was made after the crew reported cabin pressure maintenance issues inside the plane. According to Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, director-general of Malaysian Civil Aviation Department, “It was not able to maintain the right pressure differential for the comfort of the passengers.”

    The Boeing 777-200 aircraft safely landed back just 50 minutes after it took off. No one was hurt.

    The passengers were accommodated in another flight which took them to their destination with a 2.5 hours delay.
