The plane heading from Tabriz, Iran, to Najaf, Iraq, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Delta Airlines flight DL-2362 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Phoenix, Arizona, on June 24th.
The Boeing 757-200 plane, heading from Los Angeles, California, to John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, was diverted due to a problem with landing gear.
The plane landed uneventfully. All 158 passengers and 6 crew members remained safe.

A Jet2 flight heading to Murcia, Spain, from East Midlands Airport, had to divert and make an emergency landing at Charles de Gaulle airport, Paris, at 4:58 p.m. on June 10.
The flight took off from East Midlands Airport at 3:45 p.m. and was expected to land in Murcia at 7:10 p.m.
A spokesperson for the airline said the diversion was a “precautionary measure due to a technical fault…The aircraft landed safely and all passengers are being looked after by our crew and will continue onto Murcia as soon as possible. We would like to apologize to our customers for the delay to the start of their holiday.”
Virgin Atlantic flight VS-104 had to return and make an emergency landing in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 16th.
The plane took off for Heathrow Airport, England, but had to turn back due to a pressurization problem.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

What: Aerolineas Argentinas McDonnell Douglas MD-88 en route from Buenos Aires to Trelew, Argentina

Why: On approach to Trelew, an electrical problem caused the cabin to fill with smoke. After the safe landing, passengers debarked via slides. One flight attendant was treated for smoke inhalation.
