Air France flight AF-671 was intercepted by two Italian fighter jets over Italy, on March 22nd.
The incident happened after the Boeing 777-300 plane flying from Roland Garros Airport, Reunion, to Paris Orly Airport, France, lost communication with the Italian ATC.
The plane subsequently landed safely at Paris Orly Airport.
Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Why: During takeoff, the flight struck a bird; it took about twenty minutes to land back at the airport where the plane was assessed to be undamaged; however, when it took off after a two hour inspection, the anti-ice system turned out to be damaged, and the plane returned to Amsterdam where the passengers were provided an alternative flight.

I wonder what exactly was wrong with the icing system, and why it was missed on the ground.
Air France flight AF-166 made an emergency landing at Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, on December 12th.
The plane took off for Bangkok, Thailand, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an engine problem.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
On January 12, a Hawaiian Airlines crew had to put on their oxygen masks after Flight 226 developed smoke in the cockpit. Hawaiian Airlines Boeing 717 was en route from Honolulu to Kahului when a fire developed in a cargo bay. Pilots managed a safe landing. Evidence of a fire was found in one of the cargo holds. The source of the fire/smoke was an e-cigarette with lithium batteries packed in a passenger’s luggage. The TSB bans E-cigarettes and battery chargers in checked luggage but no criminal charges have been filed. The cargo area sustained enough damage that the return flight was cancelled.
A Southwest Boeing 737-700 en route from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to Fort Lauderdale made a safe landing at William P Hobby Airport in Houston after developing cabin pressure problems.
None of the 140 passengers were injured. Flight 2896 made a safe landing the evening of October 9, 2013.
Passengers were provided an alternate flight to Fort Lauderdale.

Where: Chihuahua

Why: While en route, the plane developed cracks in its windshield, and diverted to Chihuahua, where it made a safe landing.
