RUTACA Airlines flight 5R-310 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Barcelona, Venezuela, on February 14th.
The Boeing 737-200 plane heading from Manuel Carlos Piar Guayana Airport to Simon Bolivar International Airport, Venezuela, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Why: En route, smoke developed in the cabin supposedly from the galley. On landing, Shannon fire services sprayed the right hand main gear. Passengers debarked and re-embarked. The flight reached Atlanta but after circling, weather-caused traffic congestion in Atlanta forced the flight to land in Cincinnati.
On August 14, 2013, a Tej Airways Robinson R44 Raven II en route from Godhra to Amdavad ashram had to make an emergency landing at Chartoda graveyard in Gomtipu, near Ahmedabad, India.
The helicopter had been chartered for Narayan Prem Sai by his father, Hindu Spiritual leader Asaram Babu.
Four firetrucks and three ambulances responded to the scene.
Two people were hospitalized.
United Airlines Flight 594 had to make two emergency landings at Kansas City International Airport, Kansas City, Missouri, on May 26.
