LATAM Brasil flight JJ-3585 had to return and make an emergency landing at Rio Branco International Airport, Brazil, on November 11th.
The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Brasilia, Brazil, but had to turn back due to a bird strike.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Why: One engine apparently flamed out on approach. Another report said both engines flamed out and one was restarted. The CL-600-2B19 Regional jet made a safe landing on runway 11.
JetBlue flight B6-1095 had to return and make an emergency landing in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 6th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, but had to turn back after a foul odor was noticed on-board, causing passengers and crew members to feel sick.
The plane landed safely. Medical teams examined several passengers at the airport.

Why: While en route, a windshield cracked. Although they did not lose cabin pressure, the crew decided they had to land while it was daylight. The plane had two birdstrikes and had flap damage also.
The pilots made a safe landing on a 7,900 foot runway on the atoll, Sand Island’s Henderson Field.
Passengers waited on board until a replacement jet was provided within 16 hours. The replacement 747 jet left at 5:00 am before the “sea birds woke up.”
An Alaska Airlines Flight 006 returned to Los Angeles International Airport, California, on the afternoon of July 18.
The Boeing 737, heading towards Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Virginia, had to return for an emergency landing after it was hit by lightning.
The plane landed uneventfully.
All 159 passengers aboard remained unhurt.
LOT Polish Airlines flight LO-45 had to return and make an emergency landing in Warsaw, Poland, on October 25th.
The Boeing 787-800 plane took off for Toronto, Canada, but had to turn back after the first officer’s windshield developed cracks.
The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
