    Two Injured After Small Plane Crashes in Oregon

    A small plane crashed near Hillsboro, Oregon, on April 26th.

    Gennaro Avolio, 88, and his passenger Gary Hagstrom, 73, were aboard the plane when it went down in an orchard.

    Both occupants of the plane were seriously injured. They were taken to a hospital in Portland, Oregon.

    What: Qantas B737-400 en route from Adelaide to Melbourne
    Where: Melbourne
    When: Jan 24, 2011
    Who: 99 passengers and six crew
    Why: On experiencing an air conditioning problem, (turning off an overheated air conditioning system and the second system shut down), the plane lost cabin pressure. Thirty minutes out of Melbourne, the pilot descended to 10,000 feet, and continued to make a safe landing at Melbourne.

    Bird-Hit Air Arabia Flight Diverts to Lucknow, India

    Air Arabia flight G9-532 made an emergency landing in Lucknow, India, on March 24th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Kathmandu, Nepal, to Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, was diverted due to a bird strike.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Cessna Lands in Canadian Marsh

    What: Cessna 337 en route from Fort McMurray to Buffalo Narrows, Sask.
    Where: Fort McMurray
    When: June 28, 2012 3:45 pm
    Who: 2 aboard
    Why: When the Cessna they were in developed engine trouble, the pilots made an emergency landing in a marsh south of Fort McMurray. No injuries were reported.

    Canada’s TSB is investigating.

    No Injuries Reported as Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing Near Arizona-California Border

    A small Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft made an emergency landing near the Arizona-California border on November 5.

    The plane was en-route to California when it started experiencing engine trouble due to a fuel pump malfunction.

    The pilot landed the plane on a natural gas pipeline road, around 20 miles east of Lake Havasu City in Arizona. The authorities said the pilot and his only passenger remained unharmed however, the aircraft’s wing was torn off after it crashed into a tree during landing.

    The FAA and the NTSB will investigate.

    Malaysia Airlines Plane makes Hard Landing in Malaysia due to Tyre Burst

    Malaysia Airlines flight MH-726 made a safe landing at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, on May 2nd.

    The Boeing 737-800 flying from Jakarta, Indonesia, had just landed when its both left side tyres burst.

    The plane landed safely.

    Passengers were disembarked onto the runway through mobile stairs.
