    UTAir flight UT-355 had to return and make an emergency landing at Vnukovo International Airport, Russia, on January 27th.

    The Boeing 737-500 plane took off for Grozny, Russia, but had to turn back due to electrical problems.

    What: Horizon Air flight 2246 de Havilland Dash 8-400 en route from LA to Reno
    Where: Sacramento
    When: 7:10 p.m. April 7
    Who: 5 passengers (out of 40) plus one flight attendant.
    Why: When several passengers reported injuries resulting from turbulence experienced over Yosemite. Turbulence was so severe that Individuals not buckled in literally bumped into plane’s ceiling. The plane diverted to make an emergency landing at Sacramento International Airport so that the six affected individuals could be examined.

    Mount Cook Airlines Plane Returns to New Zealand due to Technical Issue

    Mount Cook Airlines flight NZ-5184 had to return and make an emergency landing at Christchurch International Airport, Christchurch, New Zealand, on May 11th.

    The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, flying on behalf of ANZ Air New Zealand towards Palmerston North, New Zealand, had to return due to a technical issue.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 56 people aboard remained safe.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at DFW Airport

    American Airlines flight AA-1060 made an emergency landing at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, on November 8th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane was flying from Tulsa, Oklahoma, when the crew noticed an odor in the cockpit.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All one hundred and fifty-eight passengers and six crew members remained unharmed.

    Peruvian Airlines flight P9-219 had to return and make an emergency landing in Lima, Peru, on April 1st.

    Two Injured as Delta Airlines Plane Hits Turbulence Near Denver

    Delta Airlines flight DL-2302 experienced severe turbulence near Denver, Colorado, on March 23rd.

    The Boeing 757-200 plane was heading from Atlanta, Georgia, to Vail, Colorado, when it was hit by turbulence that injured two flight attendants.
