    2 Injured as Small Plane Crashed in Carbondale, CO

    A single engine Cessna 182G crashed in a field near Cattle Creek Road and the Rio Grande Trail in Carbondale, Colorado, on September 27.

    Authorities said the plane went down shortly after taking off from Glenwood Springs Municipal Airport. According to witnesses, the plane seemed to be experiencing engine issues before it crashed.

    There were 2 people aboard at the time; both of them were injured and were shifted to Valley View Hospital. They were identified as the pilot Benoit de la Vaissiere and his passenger Dmitre.

    According to the Sheriff’s Office, the aircraft’s owner is “responsible for the salvage and reclamation of the airplane from the site.”

    Azur Air Flight Returns to Moscow due to Cabin Pressurization Problem

    Azur Air flight ZF-5555 had to return and make an emergency landing in Moscow, Russia, on June 28th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Varadero, Cuba, but had to turn back due to an issue with cabin pressurization.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Air New Zealand Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Hydraulic Issue

    Air New Zealand flight NZ-5106 had to return and make an emergency landing in Palmerston North, New Zealand, on September 14th.

    The plane took off for Auckland, New Zealand, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a hydraulic issue.

    The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

    Ural Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Technical Issue

    Ural Airlines flight U6-2861 had to return and make an emergency landing in Yekaterinburg, Russia, on May 15th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Samarkand, Uzbekistan, but had to turn back due to a technical problem.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    What: Australian Jetstar (division of Qantas) Airbus A330-200 en route from Japan to Australia (Osaka Kansai to Bilinga Gold Coast)
    Where: emergency landing on the island of Guam
    When: June 10th
    Who: 203 mostly Japanese passengers and crew
    Why: When a fire broke out in the cockpit when the plane was over the Pacific Ocean, one of the pilots used a fire extinguisher to control the fire.

    Passengers debarked normally.

    The plane is only two years old; and will be held in Guam as the incident is investigated. 4 investigators will be sent to examine the aircraft.
