    Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Codorus Township Field

    A small plane made an emergency landing in a field in Codorus Township, Pennsylvania, on March 23rd.

    The pilot Craig McDonald, of Columbia, Maryland, said he decided to make an emergency landing after his single-engine Cessna 162 plane lost power. He remained unharmed in the incident.

    The plane was flying from Lancaster Airport, Pennsylvania, to Carroll County Regional Airport, Maryland, at the time.

    Medical Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Arizona

    A medical helicopter made an emergency landing in Redington Pass, Arizona, on April 2nd.

    The LifeNet helicopter was carrying four people, including a patient, when it suffered an engine failure.

    The pilot subsequently made a safe landing near mile marker 2 on Redington Road.

    Another helicopter transported the patient to a hospital.

    American Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Connecticut

    american airlinesAmerican Airlines flight 1692 made an emergency landing at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, on July 9th.

    The plane, flying from Charlotte, North Carolina, declared an emergency due to a mechanical issue.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Police Service Eurocopter Missing in Botswana

    Botswana Police ServiceA Botswana Police Service Eurocopter AS350 was en route on a routine patrol between Gumare and Maun Botswana, and went missing in the Okavango. The flight left at 19:10 and was expected at 20:10.

    The captain, copilot and an Airborne Law Enforcement Officer were aboard at the time it disappeared. A search is underway, but it has not yet been located. The families of those who are missing have been notified.

    The police enlisted the public and local pilots in the search as well as the Botswana Defence Force, (BDF) and Directorate of Intelligence Services (DIS). Search and rescue teams have been deployed, and there is also a meeting at Maun Airport concerning the disappearance.

    Fixed-Wing Airplane Crashed While Conducting Cloud Seeding in Philippines

    A Baron fixed-wing airplane crashed while conducting cloud seeding on Sunday afternoon at a corn field in Villa Coloma, Bagabag town in Nueva Vizcaya province of Philippines.

    Chief of Bagabag police, Chief Inspector Chevalier Iringan confirmed that the RP C1974 plane took off from Cauayan City airport, Isabela province and crashed over the Magat River watershed at about 2:45pm.

    All four people including the pilot; Philip Jubane and three passengers; Christopher Evan Borja, Leilanie Naga and Melvin Simangan, died at the spot. The victims were employees of the Bureau of Soils and Water Management.

    The plane was on its fourth and last cloud seeding operation commissioned by SN Aboitiz Power-Magat Inc.

    UPS Emergency Landing in Louisville

    What: UPS cargo plane en route from Louisville
    Where: Louisville International Airport
    When: May 21, 20125:30 p.m.
    Who: UPS Crew
    Why: At 5:30 p.m. after taking off from Louisville, the pilot told ATC of a fire indication in an engine, and said it must make an emergency landing.

    Emergency services were on standby as the pilot made a safe landing. No fire was found.
