    What: 1964 Cessna P206 en route to Valley View Airport in Estacada
    Where: a field near the 30700 block of Northeast Lawrence Road
    When: Found at 7:50 pm
    Who: 54-year-old Mark Greenup, a Christmas tree farmer believed to have been flying the 1964 Cessna
    registered to him, and 50-year-old George Smetana, both killed in the crash
    Why: The pilot called the airport’s owner of the airport to report all of the electrical equipment on the plane had become inoperable.

    Air Canada Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Washington Dulles International Airport

    Air Canada flight AC-7618 made an emergency landing at Washington Dulles International Airport, Virginia, on March 25th.

    The plane coming from Toronto, Canada, was descending toward Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Virginia, when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit and diverted to Washington Dulles International Airport.

    The plane landed safely and was evacuated.

    All sixty-three passengers and four crew members remained unharmed.

    Virgin Atlantic Plane Returns to Heathrow with Cracked Windshield

    Virgin AtlanticVirgin Atlantic flight VS-21 returned and made an emergency landing at London Heathrow airport, United Kingdom, on September 28.

    The Airbus A340-600, heading to Washington Dulles International Airport, Virginia, had to be turned back after its windshield cracked mid-air.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    Texas: Falling Parts

    What: Aruban Airbus A319 en route from Dallas Love Field
    Where: Dallas
    When: Tuesday November 10, 1:30 pm
    Who: maintenance crew
    Why: While on a maintenance flight, the privately owned airbus lost a hundred lb. inflatable emergency slide and its storage door over an apartment complex on “webchapel.”

    Maintenance was being performed by Associated Air Center. Air Traffic Control was notified of the falling parts by someone witnessing the event, and the flight was immediately recalled.

    A search is being performed for the rogue door.

    Condor Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in St. Louis

    Condor Airlines flight DE-2114 had to divert and make an emergency landing in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 15th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Frankfurt, Germany, to Cancun, Mexico, was diverted after the crew suspected a fuel leak.

    The plane landed safely. All 182 passengers and 10 crew members remained unharmed.

    Pilot Seriously Injured after Cessna Crashes in Valley County

    CessnaA Cessna 182 plane crashed off Big Creek Airstrip in Valley County, central Idaho, at 8:30 a.m. on June 29.

    The pilot, Jay Minor, 71, from Oregon, was the only person on board. He suffered multiple life threatening injuries and was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

    Other aircrafts in the area informed Arnold Aviation about the crash, who subsequently notified the Valley County Sheriff’s Office.

    According to the Valley County officials nine people have died in six aircraft crashes over the past year in the county.
