    Bucks County Chopper Crash

    Why: Pilot Cpl. Douglas Ward Brigham died in a crash when his helicopter went down in the woods and caught fire shortly after takeoff. Residents of the area heard an explosion. The helicopter impacted in woods off River Road in Erwinna, across the Delaware River from Frenchtown, N.J.Brigham had been flying for 25 years. He was a licensed pilot, instructor and volunteer rescuer. He had taken off from the private helipad at his house.

    Tinicum Township Department of Emergency Management, and Patient Airlift Services responded to the scene.

    Jet Blue Diverts to Ft. Lauderdale

    What: Jetblue Airbus A320-200 en route from Ponce Puerto Rico to Orlando,FL
    Where: Ft. Lauderdale
    When: Oct 28th 2011
    Who: 1 sick passenger
    Why: Because of a sick passenger suffering seizures aboard the flight, the pilot diverted to Fort Lauderdale. On approach to the airport, the crew found hydraulic issues, and descended with little rudder control (due to the hydraulic issues.)

    The flight made a safe landing.

    Medical services was awaiting the passenger, who was transported to the hospital, after the safe landing.

    Frontier Airlines Plane Diverts to Jacksonville after Engine Issue

    frontier airlinesFrontier Airlines flight F9-917 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Jacksonville International Airport, Jacksonville, Florida, on December 9.

    The Airbus A319-100, flying from Trenton, New Jersey, to Orlando, Florida, had to divert due to an issue with one of its engines.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 140 passengers and 5 crew members remained safe.

    Helicopter Crash in Libya Kills 3 French Soldiers

    A helicopter went down and crashed in Libya on Wednesday, 20th July.

    According to sources, it was a French military helicopter operating in Libya.

    Three French soldiers were killed in the crash.

    The cause of the crash remains unidentified.

    Pilot Killed after Small Plane Crashed near Hesperia Airport, CA

    A small plane crashed near Hesperia Airport, California, on March 7th.

    Authorities said the ultralight plane went down near the north end of the airport.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the accident.

    He was later identified as Robert Alexander, 55, of Hesperia, California.

    The incident is being investigated.
