    Flybe Plane Returns to Birmingham due to Door Problem

    Flybe flight BE-7049 had to return and make a precautionary landing at Birmingham Airport, Birmingham, England, on December 21st.

    The de Havilland Dash 8-400 was en-route to Dusseldorf, Germany, when the crew reported that there was a problem with one of the doors.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone onboard remained unharmed.

    The passengers were rebooked onto other flights.

    Medical Emergency Prompts AA Flight to Return to Heathrow

    American AirlinesAmerican Airlines flight AA135 had to return and make an emergency landing at London Heathrow airport, on December 15.

    The airline said that the Los Angeles-bound Boeing 777 had to turn back due to a medical emergency.

    The plane, carrying 267 passengers, landed back safely at around 4 p.m.

    Authorities said the flight again departed London shortly after 6 p.m.

    Eastern Airways Plane Returns to Aberdeen Airport

    Eastern AirwaysEastern Airways flight T34717 had to return and make an emergency landing at Aberdeen Airport in Scotland, United Kingdom, on January 7.

    According to an airline spokesperson, “The captain operating this afternoon’s T3 4717 flight from Aberdeen to Leeds Bradford made a precautionary return to Aberdeen, after receiving an abnormal right hand engine oil temperature indication during flight. The engine was not shutdown in flight.”

    The Jetstream 41 plane landed uneventfully. None of the nine passengers and three crew were harmed.

    A replacement aircraft was arranged for the passengers.

    United Airlines Emergency Landing

    United Airlines flight UA131 en route from Heathrow to Washington made an emergency landing in Dublin.

    According to pilots, the Boeing 757-200 developed possible engine trouble. There was also smoke in the cockpit.

    Dublin Airport Fire and Rescue Service, dozens of firefighters and Dublin Airport Police responded to the scene.

    The flight departed from Heathrow at 1:05pm. None of the 147 passengers or crew of nine were injured.
