
Forty-one senators have written a letter to the Department of Transportation supporting their belief that “$253 million in funding authority” is enough to keep open the 149 contract control towers which are currently scheduled to close after June 15.

The plane was heading to Marquette University in Milwaukee, at the time.
The occupants of the plane, identified as Joseph Trustey, 53, and his daughter Anna Trustey, 18, lost their lives in the crash.
The NTSB and the FAA are investigating.
United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Chicago
United Airlines flight UA-5622 made an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois, on January 1st.The plane flying from Aspen, Colorado, was descending toward Chicago when the crew requested assistance due to a gear problem.
The plane performed a low approach for gear inspection and subsequently landed safely.
All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Cessna Airplane Crashed Near Searcy Municipal Airport, Arkansas
A single engine Cessna airplane crashed in White County, around two miles towards south of the Searcy Municipal Airport.According to the chief deputy for the White County sheriff’s office, Phillip Miller, the accident was reported to 911 at about 2:50pm on Friday. The emergency teams rushed to scene where they found an overturned Cessna plane in a field.
There were two persons on board and the authorities confirmed that both of them escaped with only minor injuries.

Spirit Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Engine Issue
Spirit Airlines flight NK-711 had to return and make an emergency landing in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 4th.The Airbus A320-200N plane took off for Oakland, California, but had to turn back after the crew noticed engine vibrations.
The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Phoenix
American Airlines flight AA-1100 made an emergency landing in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 30th.The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Baltimore, Maryland, but had to turn back after a noxious odor in the cabin made several people feel sick.
The plane landed back safely.
Two people were evaluated by the medical teams at the airport.
