Why: The pilot was flying to the Wilhunter platform when a warning light came on in the plane.
The flight made an emergency return to Aberdeen, with the Scottish Ambulance Service on standby.
The helicopter is being examined for the nature of the problem that caused the warning. No injuries were reported.
Azul Brazilian Airlines flight AD-2446 made an emergency landing in Fortaleza, Brazil, on December 2nd.
According to the airline, the Embraer ERJ-195 plane heading from Sao Luis, to Recife, Brazil, was diverted due to technical issues.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

What: Aerolineas Argentinas Airbus A340-200 en route from Auckland to Buenos Aires

Why: An hour into the flight, the left engine had to be shut down. The Airbus returned to Auckland to make a safe landing. After undergoing maintenance, repairs and essential services, the plane will optimistically be resumed eventually. It is not known if passengers have hotel accommodations or if they will be waiting at the airport.
Any time an engine must be shut down, especially when it is an airbus over a body of water, we all breathe a sigh of relief at a safe landing.
Air Berlin flight AB-7391 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Cologne Bonn Airport, Germany, on May 10th.
The Airbus A330-200 flying from Dusseldorf, Germany, to San Francisco, California, diverted due to an unusual odor on board.
The plane landed safely.
All 184 people aboard remained unhurt.
All Nippon Airways flight NH-823 made an emergency landing in Okinawa, Japan, on December 18.
Authorities said the Boeing 767-300, en-route from Tokyo Narita Airport, Japan, to Taipei, Taiwan, was forced to divert after the crew reported haze in the cockpit.
The plane landed uneventfully. All 198 people on board remained safe.
The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.
The incident is being investigated.
A Loganair jet veered off the runway at Stornoway Airport on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, on January 2.
The plane, which was scheduled to take off for Glasgow, was evacuated after it got caught in crosswinds and veered off the runway, injuring 2 passengers.
According to the airport authorities, “An outbound aircraft Saab 340 aircraft operated by Loganair veered off the runway at Stornoway Airport at 8.33am this morning…It is it our intention to resume normal operations as soon as the aircraft is safely removed from the runway. There are no scheduled arrivals or departures at Stornoway until later this afternoon.”
A military aircraft had to divert and make an emergency landing at Yokota Air Base, Fussa, Japan, on September 15th.
The KC-135 Stratotanker was on its routine mission when it encountered some complications mid-air, forcing the pilot to divert.
The plane landed uneventfully.
No one was injured.
