    Emirates Emergency Landing at Lusaka

    What: Emirates Airbus A330-200 em route from Lusaka to Dubai
    Where: Lusaka, Zambia
    When: Oct 21, 2012
    Why: After takeoff, the flight developed a technical problem.

    The pilot returned to the airport to make a safe landing at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. The plane continued to the gate where passengers disembarked. Emirates representatives have indicated that earlier reports that the plane crash landed were incorrect; and that passengers were accommodated in hotels and have now been re-booked on alternative flights with Emirates or other airlines. Passengers reported hearing a bang in an engine, a bumpy thirty minute flight back to the airport and on disembarking, seeing a hole in the engine.

    Delta Airlines Flight Diverts to Phoenix due to Landing Gear Issue

    250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight DL-2362 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Phoenix, Arizona, on June 24th.

    The Boeing 757-200 plane, heading from Los Angeles, California, to John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, was diverted due to a problem with landing gear.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All 158 passengers and 6 crew members remained safe.

    S-7 Emergency Diversion to Perm

    What: Globus Boeing 737 en route from Chita to Moscow
    Where: Perm, Russia
    When: Oct 17, 2012 10:52
    Who: 7 crew, 100 passengers
    Why: After the right engine shut down, pilots decided to divert to Perm.

    The Globus flight was made on behalf of S7.

    Pilots made a safe landing in Perm with emergency services standing by. 107 were aboard. No injuries were reported.

    Passengers were provided an alternative flight to Moscow.

    Easyjet Airbus Hydraulic Emergency

    What: Easyjet Airbus A319-100 en route from Liverpool to Madrid
    Where: Bay of Biscay
    When: Dec 29th 2009
    Who: 155 passengers and 7 crew
    Why: While en route, the crew reported a hydraulics failure and air frame vibrations. The flight diverted to Bordeaux and made a safe landing. Another jet was provided.

    Gol Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Sao Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport

    GolGol Airlines flight G3-5472 made an emergency landing at Sao Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on October 23rd.

    The plane en-route from Belo Horizonte to Sao Paulo–Congonhas Airport, Brazil, was diverted after the crew reported issues with the slats.

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 125 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    The passengers were taken to Sao Paulo–Congonhas Airport via buses.

    Ryanair Diversion

    Where: Billund, Denmark
    When: Sept 22, 2012, 9:30 a.m.
    Who: mo injuries
    Why: Flight FR 9086 from Alicante to Gothenburg made an uneventful forced landing at Billund airport, Denmark due to technical problems. The plane took off normally at 6:55 but diverted to Billund instead of arriving at Gothenburg at the scheduled time of 10:15. Details are scarce.
