Aerolineas Argentinas Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Engine Issue
Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR-1651 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, on July 13th.The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Neuquen to Buenos Aires, Argentina, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and fifty-three passengers and six crew members remained unharmed.
Thomson Flight Made Emergency Landing in Portugal
A Thomson Airways flight had to make an emergency landing at the Lajes airport in Portugal, at about 4:13 a.m. Lisbon time on August 5.The twin-engine aircraft Boeing 787-800 aircraft was on its way from Dominican Republic to Manchester, UK when the crew had to shut down its right hand engine due to an indication of low oil pressure.
The plane was then diverted towards Lajes airport where it made a safe emergency landing. All 288 passengers remained safe.
The passengers were provided a replacement aircraft which took them to their destination.
