    Experimental Plane Lands in Emergency in Walcott

    A 1994 experimental aircraft owned by Raging Thermal Sky Sports LLC, and known as “Meyer Goat” made a safe emergency landing at the Eagle Springs Golf Club located in Walcott, Colorado after 11 a.m. on June 16.

    The decision to make an emergency landing was made after the small aircraft lost oil pressure during the flight.

    The pilot and passenger remained unharmed. Their identities have not yet been disclosed by the authorities. The plane sustained minor damage after landing in high winds while en route from Golden to Boulder County. The plane landed on the golf course’s 547-yard par 5 second fairway.

    The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle County Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting, Greater Eagle Fire Protection District, Eagle River Fire Protection District and Eagle County Paramedic Services responded to the call.

    The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.

    Small Plane Crashes in Forsyth County, Georgia; 1 Killed, 2 Injured

    A small plane crashed in Forsyth County, Georgia, on April 28th.

    The plane was carrying three people when it went down along Highway 369 near Browns Bridge Road and Waldrip Circle.

    One person was killed in the crash. Two others were injured and were taken to a hospital.

    Five Lost in Military Chopper Collision

    What: USMC HMLA-469 Bell UH-1Y Venom
    Where: Yuma, AZ
    When: Feb 22, 2012, 8 pm
    Who: 5 aboard, 5 fatalities
    Why: The helicopter was engaged in night flight exercises on February 22nd near Yuma, AZ when it collided with a smaller two person chopper. Service members with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing were involved.

    The crash happened west of the Chocolate Mountains in California.

    The names of the five fatalities have not been released.

    Jump Seat Fake pilot arrested on US Airways flight

    Philippe Jernnard was wearing an Air France shirt, a fake Air France badge, had an Air France bag and was carrying a falsified an Air France ID card when he boarded a US Airways Philadelphia-West Palm Beach flight.

    Instead of taking his seat in coach, he asked if there was room in first class, then seated himself on the cockpit’s jump seat.

    The impersonation attempt began after Jernnard was denied an upgrade to business class.

    When the captain told Jernnard he hadn’t filled out the paperwork and had to return to his seat, Jernnard argued.

    The argument led to authorities being called, and they took him into custody.

    He is charged with criminal trespass, tampering with records, impersonating a person privately employed and false ID to law enforcement. Jernnard is a French citizen.

    Helicopter Lost in Dordogne river

    Four people are missing after a helicopter crashed into the Dordogne river.

    The helicopter fell into the waters of the Dordogne, by the commune of Lugon-and-l ‘ île-du-Carnay, bordering the River, where is located the castle of île-du-Carnay.

    Divers were searching the waters of the Dordogne while police swarmed the banks at the port of Petit Chartron. At midnight Friday, an unidentified corpse was recovered in the wreckage of the helicopter. The search for the other three missing was suspended at 11:30 and will resume Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m..
