    Delta Airlines Plane Carrying Oklahoma City Thunder Dented En Route to Chicago

    Delta Airlines flight DL-8935 apparently suffered a bird strike near Chicago Midway International Airport, Chicago, Illinois, on October 28th.

    The Boeing 757-200 plane, performing a charter flight for the Oklahoma City Thunder, was descending toward Chicago when its nose cone sustained a dent.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    The airline suspects the damage was caused by a bird strike.

    Ryanair Emergency Landing at Moss-Rygge

    Ryanair Boeing 737 8AS (WL) en route from Moss-Rygge to London-Stansted had taken off. The crew found a technical problem, and decided to land. Initially they were going to land in Bergen, but instead they returned to the airport of origin.

    Initially, passengers were very calm. They were less calm when they were not told about the change from landing in Bergen until two minutes before they were safe on the ground at Moss-Rygge,

    The flight was in the air about thirty minutes.

    Delta Airlines Flight Returns to Detroit due to Bird On-Board

    Delta Airlines flight DL-1943 returned to Detroit, Michigan, on December 30th.

    The Boeing 717-200 plane took off for Atlanta, Georgia, but had to turn back after the crew noticed a bird in the flight deck.

    The plane landed back safely.

    The bird was set free.

    Tigerair Australia Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Smoke On Board

    Tigerair Australia flight TT-612 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia, on January 20th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Sydney to Coolangatta, Australia, was diverted after smoke was noticed in the cockpit and cabin.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    United Airlines Flight Diverts to Tallahassee due to Smell of Smoke in Cabin

    United Airlines flight UA-1239 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Tallahassee, Florida, on June 13th.

    The Boeing 737-900 plane heading from Miami, Florida, to Chicago, Illinois, was diverted after smell of smoke was noticed in the cabin.

    The plane landed safely. There were one hundred and fifty-five people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    AeroUnion Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Los Angeles

    AeroUnion flight 6R-301 made an emergency landing in Los Angeles, California, on December 5th.

    The Boeing 767-200 freighter plane took off for Guadalajara, Mexico, however, during the initial climb, one of the engines started emitting heavy smoke.

    The crew subsequently turned back and landed safely. No injuries were reported.
