Where: Prague
When: Jun 20 2010
Why: While over Prague, the flight lost communication with ATC. Communication was restored forty minutes later over Dutch Airspace. The flight landed in Dublin two hours later.

What: United Airlines Boeing 757-200 en route from San Francisco to Boston
Where: Omaha Nebraska
When: June 29, 2011, 8:20 pm
Who: 181 passengers, 6 crew
Why: While en route to Boston, the plane developed a fuel leak in its right engine. The engine was shut down.
The pilot made a safe landing in Boston within 20 minutes.
Passengers were provided an alternative flight.

What: Jordanian Royal Falcon Boeing 767-200 on behalf of Iraqi Airways en route from Stockholm to Baghdad/ Al Najaf
Where: Warsaw
When: Apr 25 2010
Why: After one of the cockpit window panes cracked, the plane made a landing in Warsaw. No one was injured.
How the passengers will be finishing their journey has not been published.

What: US Airways A319-100 en route from Rochester to Charlotte
Where: Rochester
When: March 11, 2010
Who: 124 passengers (126?)
Why: According to interviews by the airport director, immediately after an uneventful takeoff, the jet flew through a flock of geese. Passengers heard an engine combust, and smelled something burning. The flight landed safely within thirty minutes, and apparently passengers clapped on landing.
It has been three years since Rochester’s last reported bird strike.
Jet2 flight LS-917 burst two tires on landing at Tenerife South Airport, Spain, on June 27th.
The incident happened when the Airbus A330-200 plane was coming from Manchester, England.
There were three hundred and twenty passengers and eleven crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

What: United Airlines Boeing 767 Flight 923 London to Washington, D.C.
Where: Bangor International Airport
When: 4/01/09, 10:00 am
Who: 178 passengers and 11 crew members
Why: Pilots said there was smoke in the cockpit and that one of the plane’s two engines failed. They landed safely at Bangor International Airport, Maine.
Iberia Express flight IB-3673 had to return and make an emergency landing in Berlin, Germany, on November 9th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Madrid, Spain, but had to return shortly afterwards after a ground observer reported seeing a jet of flame emitting from the left hand engine.
The crew subsequently declared an emergency and turned back toward Berlin.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
