    Small Plane Crash-Lands in Plano Golf Course

    small-plane-in-waterA small plane made a crash landing in a pond on the golf course at Prestonwood Country Club in Plano, Texas, on the evening of October 27.

    The plane was heading to Addison Airport when the pilot reported some engine troubles. According to spokesperson of Plano PD, Detective Jerry Minton, “He decided he was going to find a place to land and saw the fairway, but upon final approach he said he had high tailwind and overshot the fairway…It ended up in the water, flipped upside down and started sinking.”

    The authorities confirmed that the pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained uninjured.

    The incident remains under investigation.

    American Airlines Flight Diverts to Texas Due to Hydraulic Problem

    American EagleAmerican Airlines Flight AA-2437 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas, at 1:40 P.M. on July 7.

    The airbus A319-100 was en-route from Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Georgia, to Los Angeles, California, when the pilot declared emergency due to hydraulic issues.

    The plane landed safely.

    All 127 passengers and 5 crew members aboard remained unharmed and were accommodated in a replacement flight.

    Small Plane Crashed at Cambridge Municipal Airport

    A two-seater 1946 Aeronca Champ aircraft crashed at the Cambridge Municipal Airport in Minnesota, on April 11.

    According to Trooper Tim Cunningham of the State Highway Patrol’s Cambridge post, “He [the pilot] landed the plane and just began taxiing… A gust of wind came and lifted the plane back into the air. He attempted to correct the plane using more power. The plane then overturned.”

    The pilot, identified as Daniel Johnston, 65, remained unharmed.

    Authorities said the aircraft ended up in an upside down position in a ditch near the runway.

    The incident is under investigation.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Boston

    Delta Airlines flight DL-72 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 29th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane heading from Atlanta, Georgia, to Amsterdam, Netherlands, was diverted after the crew noticed engine vibrations.
