    Where: Clifton Park, NY
    When: August 15, 2012, 7:30 a.m.
    Who: 2 aboard, 1 fatality, 1 injury
    Why: After taking off, the plane stalled 12 miles north of Albany. The plane crashed in a suburb. passenger Walter F. Uccellini and his business partner, Jim Quinn were aboard. Uccellini died in the crash; Quinn suffered head trauma and was hospitalized at Albany Medical Center.

    The plane landed stopped between trees and did not strike any buildings. Quinn may have been attempting to land on the road. Before the land became a subdivision, it was an emergency landing field.

    Nordic Regional Airlines Flight Returns to Helsinki due to Gear Problem

    Nordic Regional Airlines flight AY-203 had to return and make an emergency landing in Helsinki, Finland, on April 7th.

    The plane took off for Kokkola, Finland, but had to turn back after the crew reported a gear problem.

    The plane landed back uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Allegiant Jet Makes Emergency Landing in South Carolina

    AllegiantAllegiant airlines flight 683, en-route from Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Orlando, Florida, was forced to make an emergency landing at Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport, South Carolina on August 31.

    According to the airline officials, the McDonnell Douglas MD-80 aircraft, having 159 passengers on board, was diverted for emergency landing after it began to “experienced a cabin pressurization issue approximately two hours after take off.”

    The aircraft landed safely, although the passengers had to wear oxygen masks deployed overhead in the cabin.

    The airline provided hotel accommodation, refund for that leg of the trip, and a $200 voucher to all the passengers.

    The flight was rescheduled to depart from Greenville next morning.

    JetBlue Airways Flight Diverts to Florida After Bomb Threat

    JetBlue Airways flight 893 had to make an emergency landing at Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport, Florida, on January 21st.

    The plane heading from Newark, New Jersey, to Santiago, Dominican Republic, was diverted due to a bomb threat.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Frontier Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Kansas City

    Frontier Airlines flight F9-821 made an emergency landing in Kansas City, Missouri, on April 24th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane flying from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was on final approach to Kansas City when the crew reported a landing gear issue.

    The plane did a fly-by before landing safely. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Phoenix

    American Airlines flight AA-692 had to return and make an emergency landing in Phoenix, Arizona, on January 27th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Honolulu, Hawaii, but had to turn back due to a mechanical issue.

    The plane landed safely. All two hundred and seventy passengers and ten crew members remained unharmed.
