What: American Airlines Boeing 757 en route from Aruba to Miami Where: Miami When: July 10, 2012 Who: 185 passengers, 6 crew, 12 injured Why: While en route thirty minutes from landing, the flight encountered some turbulence. Fifteen seconds worth of turbulence was enough to knock people around. People were knocked out of their seats, and at least one person hit the ceiling. Some of the injured were treated at the airport and some at a Miami hospital.

Austrian Airlines flight OS-64 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow, Russia, on August 22nd.
The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Beijing, China, to Vienna, Austria, was diverted after the crew received a waste tank indication that suggested the lavatories were unusable.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

What: Air France Boeing 777-300 en route from Buenos Aires Argentina to Paris Where: Buenos Aires When: Mar 19th 2012 Why: Climbing out of Buenos Aires, the pilot approached severe weather ahead and diverted around it, shortly resuming the flight plan. This plane and others flew through severe turbulence.
On making a safe landing, the plane was grounded in Paris for routine inspection procedures that are common after flying through turbulence.

On December 25, 2012, a Kazakhstan Border Guards Antonov 72 transport plane crashed 12 1/2 miles from Shymkent Airport, Kazakhstan. All 20 passengers and seven crew died in the crash.
The airplane was operated by the Kazakhstan Border Guards. Among those killed was acting director of National Security Committee’s Border Guard Service, Colonel Turganbek Stambekov. Weather at Shymkent was poor with heavy snowfall and limited visibility.

As previously reported, on December 25 of the current year in 18 hours and 55 minutes on the approach to Shymkent crashed military transport aircraft Border Patrol KNB.
All on board, 27 people, including seven crew members died.
Among the dead, Border Patrol Director Colonel Stambekov TM and his accompanying group of officers from the central office of the Service, as well as soldiers of the Regional Management “On ?t?st?k” on December 25 of the current year in Astana to attend the meeting of the Military Council of the Border Guard Service.
Border Patrol Leaders directed in Shymkent for the military council to the regional “On ?t?st?k” to sum ??up the past year.
Now that crashed runs interdepartmental commission to investigate aviation incidents.
In Shymkent flew the KNB N.Abykaev.

What: Aeromexico Boeing 777-200 en route from Mexico City (Mexico) to Madrid,SP Where: Santa Maria When: Dec 4th 2010 Why: Initially, the flight diverted to the Azores Islands due to a Spanish strike, but later said there were problems with the right engine. After the plane landed, passengers were provided hotel accommodations. Another plane brought spare parts to Santa Maria, and the flight continued the next day after repairs were completed.
