A small plane had to make an emergency landing at Cox Springs Road, just south of U.S. 20, in Peosta, Iowa, on April 11.
The single-engine plane was heading from California to Galt Airport, Illinois when the pilot Adam Maritz noticed smoke in the cockpit and decided to make an emergency landing.
The plane landed uneventfully and the pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained unharmed.
The FAA was notified.
Joy Air flight JR1518 made an emergency landing in Yulin, Shaanxi province of China, on December 11.
The plane, heading from Yinchuan to Taiyuan, was diverted after the pilot suspected release of undercarriage.
The plane landed uneventfully and no one was injured.
The plane’s inspection revealed that the landing gear had opened midair. The cause of incident is under investigation.

The Cessna plane was en-route from New Bedford, Massachusetts, to Rochester, New York, when its carburetor froze up, forcing the pilot to land in a small backyard field area.
There were two people aboard at the time, including the pilot Jeremiah Coholan and passenger Richard Medeiros; both of them remained unhurt.

Pilots made a fast landing on hot brakes with emergency services and maintenance on standby to deal with the hydraulic fluid on the runway.
Passengers disembarked on to the runway and were ported to the terminal.
Before the plane was towed, the brakes were examined.

Why: The plane was en route but returned to Delhi after 45 minutes due to an undisclosed technical problem. The plane made a safe landing under emergency conditions at 9:10 pm. Passengers waited an hour, and an alternative plane took off with them aboard to Kolkata at 10:45 pm
A single engine plane crashed about 90 feet from the shore south of Montrose on 22nd March, 2014. The incident happened while the plane was on its way from Oklahoma to Montrose regional airport.
A large piece from the tail of the crashed plane has been recovered from the reservoir. Rescue teams could not find the pilot and the other five people on board. It is assumed that there are no survivors of the crash incident.
According to the Ouray County emergency, law enforcement and public officials, the search and rescue operation is going on at the best, and the efforts will continue on Monday as well.
A private helicopter made an emergency landing into the water off of Taylor’s Island, Maryland, on March 25.
Authorities said the helicopter apparently experienced a mechanical issue, after which, the pilot radioed a distress call and made a hard landing in around 4 feet of water.
There were 2 people aboard at the time, including the pilot Vincent T. Giglio, 45, of New Jersey, and his passenger, Ronald F. Lopes, 61, of New York; both of them remained unharmed.
