A US Navy Sikorsky MH-53E Sea Dragon crashed off a Norfolk Virginia beach, killing one of five aboard. The helicopter was assigned to Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron Fourteen.
Three were injured and hospitalized at at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. A rescue team is searching for one crewman who is still missing.

JetBlue flight 1521 made an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport, California, on February 25.
The incident happened when the flight was en-route from Portland, Oregon, to Long Beach, California.
According to Ian Gregor, spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane “landed without incident at 5:40 after reporting some kind of mechanical issue.”
JetBlue spokesperson Victoria Buckley confirmed the incident, saying that the flight was diverted “out of an abundance of caution.”

During the Bereg Radosti aerial /song show festival in Siberia, a Yakovlev Yak-52 plane crashed, killing a pilot and injuring spectators: a girl born in 1995 and a man born in 1959. The operator was Dosaaf ROSTO.
The plane fell into the Tommot River in the republic of Yakutia while the pilot was trying to perform a loop.
The pilot died on impact. Two spectators were injured out of a crowd of about a hundred. The audience was composed of people from Yakutia, the Amur Region and the Khabarovsk Territory.
The name of the show means Shore of Joy. The accident is being investigated by Aldan police.

Number of those aboard ranges from 23 to 36.
Media reports say a wheel broke off on landing. Other reports say the plane was flying low and already on fire before it crashed in the Cachingue neighborhood.
There were six survivors, including the pilot and co-pilot. The back of the crashed plane caught on fire, leaving the survivors who were in the front of the plane. Those dead include s Lt Gen Bernardo Leitao Francisco Diogo, and Lt Gen Elias Malungo Bravo da Costa Pedro, and two unidentified women, and two unidentified children.
The plane broke in two on impact. The pilot says the problem was mechanical.
A second accident occurred in Three Bridges, in Lubango, Huila province, killing the pilot of a SU-22.

What: Royal Moroccan Air Force Lockheed C-130H Hercules CNA-OQ en route from Dakhla Western Sahara to Goulimime Airport, Morocco (Flight global released the route as Agadir-Eyes-Dakhla) Where: 6.3 miles East of Goulimime (Guelmim)Airport,Morocco When: 26 JUL 2011 at 9 a.m. Who: 80 aboard, (9 crew, 71 passengers) 80 fatalities Why: The Royal Moroccan Air Force C-130 Hercules transport plane was in a mountainous area near Goulimime/Guelmim when it crashed into a mountain and was destroyed. The flight originated at Dakhla Airport, and was scheduled to land in Kenitra with scheduled landing in Goulimime.
Eighty occupants were killed; most were members of the Moroccan Armed Forces. The airplane carried nine crew members, 60 troops (including 9 RMAF flight crew) and 12 civilians. It operated on a flight from Dakhla to Kinitra with an en route stop at Goulimime.
Sixty troops were aboard, and a dozen civilians. According to some reports, there were three survivors; other reports say there were no survivors. Three survived the crash, but not the ride to the hospital. The remains have been taken to the military hospital at Guelmin.
Initially, the flight was reported as carrying 81, but one person did not board in Laayoune.
The crash has been attributed to inclement conditions.
Three days of national mourning were declared by King Mohammed VI.
