Shree Airlines Diversion

After encountering low visibility in Kushma Bazaar, a Shree Airlines helicopter en route from Dolpa to Pokhara made an emergency landing at around 10:00 am when it diverted to the Chandika Armed Police Battalion in Kushma Bazaar.

Shree Airlines wants to emphasize that a diversion during rainy season is not an emergency.

General Manager of the Airlines Anil Manandha said that “…such landing during rainy season is normal. This is not an emergency landing.”

The chopper had intended to refuel in Pokhara.

The helicopter landed in Kathmandu at 1:00 p.m.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Tri-Cities Regional Airport

    Delta Airlines flight DL-1534 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Tri-Cities Regional Airport, Tennessee, on June 23rd.

    The plane heading from Indianapolis, Indiana, to Atlanta, Georgia, was diverted after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit and cabin.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and forty-seven people aboard remained unharmed.

    7 Killed in Indian Air Force Helicopter Crash

    helicopterA helicopter belonging to the Indian Air force crashed in Sitapur district of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh state of India.

    The helicopter, which was en route from Bareilly to Allahabad, crashed nose down and bursted into flames. The accident happened on July 25 at about 5 p.m. after the Dhruv helicopter lost radio and radar contact. According to the authorities, the pilot reported a technical fault in the helicopter before losing contact.

    There were 2 pilots and 5 passengers aboard at the time of accident; all of them were killed. A statement released by the air force maintained that there was no report of any damage on the ground.

    Seattle Chopper Crash Kills 2, Injures 3

    SeattleA chopper crash near a tourist spot in downtown Seattle killed all two passengers while setting several cars on fire.

    The chopper belonging to KOMO news channel was crashed in a busy street after it attempted to take off from the news station’s helipad located nearby.

    Emergency responders found two dead bodies in the helicopter wreckage. Three other people were injured as the crash set their cars on fire. According to the spokesman of Seattle Fire Department, one of the injured was in serious condition.

    American Eagle Emergency Landing in Chicago

    What: American Eagle Embraer EMB-145LR en route from Chicago to Tulsa
    Where: Chicago

    Who: 31 aboard
    Why: The flight took off, but received a gear disagree message. After a flyby determining the gear were down, the pilots made an overweight landing. No injuries were reported. There were apparently no stairs provided on exit.

    Passengers eventually arrived in Tulsa after 1 pm.

    The same plane had just made a prior emergency landing at O’Hare.
