    Small Plane Crashes in Residential Neighborhood

    What: SPORTSMAN GS-2 registered to THOMAS P ALEXANDER
    Where: Crown Drive just west of El Dorado Hills Blvd. in El Dorado Hills CA
    When: Friday 04/17/2009 after 5 p.m.
    Who: THE ONE PERSON ON BOARD WAS FATALLY INJURED. The pilot’s name has been disclosed as THOMAS P ALEXANDER
    Why: AIRCRAFT CRASHED INTO A RESIDENTIAL DRIVEWAY between two houses. The plane caught fire but neither home was damaged. However, the pilot did not survive the crash. His flight record is currently under investigation. The homebuilt plane was certified in March.

    Small Plane Crashes into a House in Indiana; 2 Injured

    A single-engine Cessna plane crashed into a house in Vigo County, Indianapolis, on August 25th.

    The plane was carrying two people at the time of crash.

    Both the passengers were airlifted to hospital.

    The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

    Mid-Air Collision Downs Two Colorado Planes

    What: Cessna 180 Skywagon
    Where: intersection of County Line Road and Great Western Drive,Longmont, CO
    When: Mar 23 2012, 11:43 a.m
    Who: 2 fatalities

    What: Cessna 172 Skyhawk
    Where: near the main entrance, north of Vance Brand Airport, Longmont, CO
    When: Mar 23 2012, 11:48 a.m
    Who: 1 injury

    Why: Witnesses say that two planes collided then crashed miles apart, a few minutes later. They were both banking when they struck, and in each other’s blind spots.

    Witnesses who saw the Skyhawk crash and helped the pilot out of the wreckage commend pilot Bev Cameron for avoiding hitting anyone. She was hospitalized at Longmont United Hospital with multiple trauma injuries after the crash.

    The Skywagon struck wires and crashed in a parking lot. The two people aboard did not survive the impact. Their names have not been released.

    American Airlines Flight Diverts to O’Hare International Airport

    An American Airlines flight had to divert and make an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport, Illinois, on December 28th.

    The plane flying from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Minneapolis, Minnesota, was diverted due to a possible mechanical problem.

    The plane landed safely. All 149 passengers and 5 crew members remained safe.

    Small Plane Crashes in NJ

    4 bodies identified, 1 missing in the NJ crash. Monmouth Airport is 5 miles east of Trenton. In Wall township. Relatives of the pilot were on the scene (mentioned on the video) and the current input is that the plane was neither going to or from Monmouth.

    What: Jack Air LLC’s Cessna T337G Turbo Super Skymaster en route to Monmouth Executive Airport
    Where: Monmouth Executive Airport
    When: 4 p.m. Monday Feb 15 2010
    Who: 2 dead, 3 missing
    Why: Witnesses saw the plane coming in for a landing when the tail broke off, the plane veered and crashed nose down beside the runway in a field.

    Witnesses say the pilot pulled up and a piece of the plane fell off before it spun out of control and crashed.

    Interim Compensation Provided to Pawan Hans Crash Victims

    What: Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd. Mi-172
    Where: Arunachal Pradeshnorth-east India near China border
    When: April 19 2011
    Who: 18 passengers, including two minors, and five crew

    A committee of inquiry was on Saturday set up to investigate the circumstances that led to the recent crash of the Pawan Hans helicopter in Arunachal Pradesh. After the crash, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said they would launch a series of measures to ensure that all helicopters are operated and maintained.

    Arunachal Pradesh government requested ( on January 18, 2010, and then on August 8, 2010) to replace the old helicopter.

    Interim compensation of Rs 1 lakh is being provided for the deceased and Rs 50, 000 for the injured.

    Those killed were identified as Mrs Anita, A Baruah, Dr Tendon, Dr Asif, Mrs R Asif, Mrs Jahara, Ms Asif, Master Asif, Mr A Sharma, A K Saraugi, Ms N Botha, Col Sharma, Mr W Bhatia, Mr T Mustafa. The three crew members killed were a second pilot Captain Tiwari, Flight Attendant A Dixit and Assistant Maintenance Engineer S B Kulkarni.

    Survivors were Captain Varun Gupta, Randiv Kumar Chaturvedi, Dorjee Wangdi, Rishi Bothra, Rajendra Pal and Mrs Karishma Saraugi.
