An ultralight plane crashed south of Townsville, Queensland, Australia, on November 29.
Authorities said the plane was taking off from an air strip in Woodstock when it experienced some difficulties and went down.
The pilot, who was the only aboard, was killed in the crash.
The incident is being investigated.

Why: After taking off from the French research vessel L’Astrolabe which is icebound northeast of the Dumont-d’Urville station, the helicopter went down in bad weather. The helicopter was last seen flying at 29 feet. The helicopter normally supplied the research base. Initially there was hope of one survivor. A U.S. Air Force C-17 flew over; the distress beacon was activated off Adelie Land, but cloud cover prevented visibility; bad weather complicated rescue efforts. An Australian unit which spotted three bodies dropped supplies and survival equipment. A doctor flown in later confirmed that the pilot, the mechanic and two employees of the French Polar Institute who had been aboard the helicopter were dead. The remains were recovered and flown back in an Australian Hercules C-130 to a chapel at the base. (US) McMurdo base and AMSA’s rescue coordination centre are assisting the French recovery team.
Two researchers were from l’Institut polaire Paul-Emile Victor, in Brest, Brittany, France.

Why: The flight was delivering blood specimens for Quest Diagnostics. Halfway down the runway, the pilot aborted the first attempt at landing, and hit a tree and broke in half on the next go-around, then crashing and burning in a nearby warehouse parking lot.
Rescuers rushed to the scene to search for the pilot and co-pilot, and reportedly heard someone saying ‘We’re here, We’re here,”
Rescuers came back with ‘I know you are, but I’m looking for the guys on the plane.’ And they replied, ‘We are the guys from the plane.’
Both men are in serious condition.
The pilot George Maddox, 54, of Sinking Springs, Pa. and copilot Co-pilot Sanil Gopinath, 42, of Laurel, Md survived and were checked in to St. Barnabas Medical Center.
A private Cessna 172 crashed near a golf course at the Crawford Bay Airport in British Columbia, Canada, at about 6:30 p.m. on August 30.
According to Bill Yearwood of the Transportation Safety Board, the plane crashed after the pilot executed a rejected landing and decided to take off again. “Something was not right on the landing and the pilot elected to abort the landing. During that takeoff from the aborted landing, the aircraft contacted trees and tragically crashed,” he said.
The aircraft landed in an upside down position and caught fire. However, the witnesses managed to pull out the pilot and his only passenger from the wreckage before it bursted into flames. The female passenger died in the accident while the pilot suffered burn injuries. He was taken to a hospital.
The RCMP, BC Coroner Services and the Federal Transportation Safety Board are looking into the cause of crash.
The plane was registered in Alberta.

Who: 2 aboard, 2 fatalities
Why: The two aboard were on a training flight on the blue and white Grob G115 when the single engine plane crashed off the island of Spetses.
The instructor was a sixty year old Greek from Aigion, and the other was a non Greek man taking a flying lesson.
A marine taxi driver, Mr Lefteris Fostinis, was the first to discover the wreckage. A private diver found the two victims still in the cabin of the aircraft.
The bodies were retrieved and taken to Kranidi Medical Center.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
A Saudi cargo plane had to divert and make an emergency landing at Cairo International Airport, Egypt, on December 3.
The plane was heading from Italy to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, when the pilot noticed that the fuel level is alarmingly low and decided to divert.
The plane landed safely.
Authorities said the plane was able to resume its journey after refuelling.
