    Plane Crash at Cedar Mills Marina Airport Injured 4

    CessnaA single-engine Cessna 177 plane skidded off the runway and crashed into trees during landing at Cedar Mills Marina Airfield in Grayson County, Gordonville, Texas, on August 23.

    The accident happened when the plane was en-route from Lake Dallas to Sherman, with 2 men and 2 women aboard. The Department of Public Safety trooper Mark Tackett said that the pilot reported issues during landing.

    All 4 people aboard the plane suffered injuries of varied degrees. Two of the injured were airlifted to Medical Center of Plano while the others were transported to Wilson and Jones Hospital in Sherman. Their identifications have not yet been released.

    According to the FAA records, the aircraft is 47 years old and is registered to an address in Aubrey.

    Cessna Lands in Marsh

    What: twin-engine Cessna 310
    Where: marshy area near Pitt Street bridge Mt. Pleasant
    When: Saturday afternoon April 25, 2009 2:56 pm
    Who: Arthur Parker and (approx) ten year old son
    Why: When something “popped” on the plane and he could not turn and started losing altitude, Arthur Parker did the only thing he could, and landed in the Mount Pleasant marsh. He and his son walked out on the wing and waded through the marsh, then walked to a local house. Police officers met them, but Parker declined police and medical assistance.

    Now his biggest problem is how to retrieve his plane from the marsh…

    Cessna Crash Cuts Bolivian Festival Short

    What: Servicio Aereo Elorza Cessna U206G Stationair 6
    Where: San Joaquin, Beni Bolivia
    When: August 21, 2012
    Who: 1 aboard, 2 fatalities, 1 injury
    Why: The festival commemorating the 303rd anniversary of the founding of San Joaquin was cancelled.

    A small stunt plane was performing at the event doing cartwheels when the the pilot crashed into a house. The pilot was killed along with a woman in the house. Another person on the ground was injured. Witnesses said Two planes were performing cartwheels when one of them made a turn. the plane’s right wing hit the fence of the cemetery, hit some trees and crashed into the roof of a residence.

    Pilot Ramón Bilbao Mayuve (45) was killed in the crash. The woman who died, Karina Angelica Robles (23) was in her house when it was struck by the aircraft. Sixteen year old Reich Guardia Sosa was seriously injured and hospitalized in the capital.

    Crashed, Stolen, Force Landings on April 1 No Joke

    On April 1:

    • A privately owned Reims Cessna F172E with two aboard made an emergency landing in Nome, Norway after an engine failed. Neither of the two aboard reported injury.
    • An Ultralight suffered a mechanical failure in south Surrey, BC crashed and sustained damage. The pilot parachuted out into a field of blueberries, and was injured but survived.
    • The pilot of a Beech J35 Bonanza force landed in a cornfield in northwest Davenport, Iowa after the plane suffered a mechanical failure. THe plane was damaged. The pilot was not.
    • A privately owned Cessna 210H that took off from Bullo River Station with four aboard crashed near Cape Ford in Australia. The bodies of three of the four people aboard have been recovered. Those aboard were 45-year-old electrical contractor Stuart Sceney, his 53-year-old wife Karmi Dunn, and daughters Mekdes, 12, and Kal, 15. A search continues for the wreckage and the remaining passenger. Weather conditions hampered the search.
    • A Cessna 172 Skyhawk went down with engine troubles in Juneau County swamp, Wonewoc, Wisconsin. THe pilot Seth Pripps of Rockford, Ill was uninjured. Firefighters assisted.
    • A Caicos Express Airways Cessna 402C took off from and landed at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport and suffered a nose-gear collapse. The plane is registered to Turks and Caicos Islands. The pilot was uninjured.
    • A Cirrus SR22 was reported missing/stolen from Benton Arkansas. It was found abandoned in Casscoe Arkansas. On Monday night, the plane had been scheduled to land at Saline County Airport. When officers approached, the plane took off nearly hitting a deputy.

    What: Cessna 310 en route from Mendez Airport, Ciudad Victoria, to Nuevo Laredo, Teamaulipas, Mexico
    Where: Mexico
    When: October 21, 2008 1710 central daylight time
    Who: The pilot and the 4 passenger
    Why: The Cessna experienced a loss of power on takeoff from Pedro J. Mendez Airport, Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. When the pilot attempted to return to the airport, the Cessna impacted level desert terrain 45 degrees off to the right of the side of the departure end of the runway.

    The pilot and the 4 passengers were fatally injured.

    Small Plane Crash in Queensland Claims 5 Lives

    A light plane crash in Queensland, Australia, killed five persons on March 22, 2014.

    The Cessna 206 plane took off from Caboolture Airport, located north of Brisbane. The plane crashed and caught fire shortly after the take-off, killing two skydiving customers, two instructors and one pilot at the scene.

    According to the police, the family members of the deceased watched the plane, as it crashed and burnt.

    The plane was owned and operated by a local skydiving company ‘ Adrenalin Skydivers Bribie’.
