Cathay Pacific Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Hong Kong
Cathay Pacific flight CX-913 had to return and make an emergency landing in Hong Kong, China, on February 1st.The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Manila, Philippines, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an engine problem.
The plane landed uneventfully. All two hundred and seventy-one people aboard remained unharmed.

PIA Plane Collides With Another Plane at Karachi Airport
A Pakistan International Airlines plane collided with another plane at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, Pakistan, on November 24th.It is believed that the ATR aircraft was being given a run-up as part of its examination when it hit a Shaheen Air aircraft parked nearby.
No injuries were reported. The ATR aircraft sustained substantial damage.

American Airlines flight AA-526 made a safe landing following a bird strike in Phoenix, Arizona, on January 17th.The Airbus A319-100 plane flying from Omaha, Nebraska, was on approach to Phoenix when one of the engines ingested a bird.
The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
