    Iberia Airbus has Navigation Issues

    What: Iberia Airbus A321-200 en route from Madrid to Copenhagen, Denmark
    Where: Madrid’s Barajas Airport
    When: Jun 13th 2009
    Who: 190 passengers
    Why: After 40 minutes struggling with technical problem with the navigation instruments, the Airbus returned to land safely in Madrid. The passengers were accommodated with a replacement plane, while this plane was examined by maintenance crews. No injuries were reported.

    PIA Karachi Emergency Landing

    What: PIA Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 747-300 en route from Karachi to Lahore
    Where: Karachi
    When: Sep 10th 2010
    Who: 480 passengers
    Why: While en route, the plane’s engine ingested a bird.

    The pilot returned the plane to Karachi where it made a safe landing. Passengers were provided an alternative flight at 8 pm

    Ryanair Encounters Tarmac Ice on Taxi

    What: Ryanair Boeing 737-800 en route from Dublin to Prestwick
    Where: Prestwick
    When: Dec 23rd 2009
    Who: 129 passengers
    Why: After a successful landing, the flight was being taxied off when it encountered ice. It slid off the runway. Passengers debarked on the verge, and were ported to the gate.

    American Airlines Flight Returns to Philadelphia After Bird Strike

    American Airlines flight AA-797 made an emergency landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on November 17th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Los Angeles, California, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a bird strike.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Norwegian Air Shuttle Diverts to Denmark After Smoke in Galley

    Norwegian AirNorwegian Air Shuttle DY-4321 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Copenhagen Airport, Denmark, n July 1st.

    The Boeing 737-800, flying from Stockholm, Sweden, to Nice, France, had to divert due to to smoke emitting from its forward galley.

    The plane landed safely.

    No injuries were reported.

    Air Europa Airbus Runs over Debris.

    On April 16, 2013, an Air Europa Airbus A330-202 #EC-JPF was en route from Madrid-Barajas Airport to Caracas-Simón Bolívar International Airport in Venezuela.

    However, the flight took off after an Aéromexico tail strike, and ran over fuselage debris which punctured a nose gear tire.

    Pilots circled the airport, and returned to Barajas where they made a safe landing at 19:30 with emergency services on standby.
