    AirBridgeCargo Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Flaps Problem

    AirBridgeCargo Airlines flight RU-523 made an emergency landing in Liege, Belgium, on January 12th.

    The Boeing 747-400 freighter plane flying from Moscow, Russia, was on final approach to Liege when the crew reported an issue with the flaps and went around.

    The plane subsequently landed safely at a higher than normal speed. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Frontier Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Denver

    Frontier Airlines flight F9-1286 had to return and make an emergency landing in Denver, Colorado, on May 14th.

    The Airbus A319-100 plane took off for Chicago, Illinois, but had to turn back due to an unidentified odor on-board.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Air Serbia Flight Diverts to Paphos due to Cargo Smoke Indication

    Air Serbia flight JU-7210 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Paphos, Cyprus, on September 19th.

    The Airbus A319-100 plane heading from Belgrade, Serbia, to Hurghada, Egypt, was diverted due to a cargo smoke indication.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    JAC Commuter Hydraulics Malfunction

    What: Japan Air Commuter Bombardier DHC-8-402 en route from Osaka to Miyazaki
    (Also reported as a Havilland Dash 8-400)
    Where: Osaka International Airport
    When: Thursday Aug 20
    Who: 22 passengers and four flight crew members
    Why: Breitbart reports that while en route, the Bombardier’s hydraulic system indicator light reported a hydraulics malfunction. The plane landed safely with no reported injuries and was towed off the runway. It is not clear if the hydraulics or the indicator was at the source of the problem, but JAC is investigating.

    Two planes collide over Westlake Village


    A Cessna 172 and a Cessna 172RG Cutlass collided over Westlake Village eight miles east northeast of Ventura.

    The Cutlass, registered to Ameriflyers of Florida LLC made an emergency landing on the Westlake Golf Course, Westlake Village, California. Three aboard sustained minor injuries in a belly landing at 2:15 p.m. near the third hole. They were hospitalized with minor injuries.

    The second plane crashed in the Santa Monica Mountains, sparking a brush fire and a search and rescue effort. The pilot was found under the wreckage.

    One of the planes had left Santa Monica Airport on an engine test flight and was heading east when it collided with the other.

    Corendon Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Amsterdam

    Corendon Airlines flight XC-50 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on October 1st.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Rotterdam, Netherlands, to Antalya, Turkey, was diverted due to a suspected tail strike during departure.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
