JetBlue flight B6-2828 made an emergency landing in Orlando, Florida, on December 3rd.
The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Newark, New Jersey, but had to turn back due to a medical emergency.
The plane landed safely.

Who: 83 passengers and 5 crew
Why: Over Washington state, the Airbus which was following a UA Boeing at at least the minimum approved distance was subjected to an interim of wake turbulence which seriously injured 3 and caused minor injuries to 8. Findings on this 2008 event included the cause as wake turbulence. The event brings to question trolley and storage security and rudder control input.

What: Delta Airlines Douglas DC-9-50 en route from Atlanta to Pittsburgh

Why: On takeoff approach, the right engine made a banging noise, leading the pilots to reject takeoff, and stop on the runway, with locked up brakes and an uncontained engine failure (holes in the casing) and a disengaged fan blade. Passengers disembarked on to the runway and were ported to the terminal.
A small plane crashed near Ohkay Owingeh Airport in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, on March 11th.
The single-engine Remos GX light sport airplane went down around 50 feet from the outer fence of the airport.
There were two people aboard the plane, including the pilot Karen Ann Young, 46, and the co-pilot Thomas Spickermann, 47; both of them were killed in the crash.
The FAA is investigating.

What: Singapore Airlines Airbus A340-500 en route from Singapore to Newark,NJ

When: Oct 4 2010
Who: 81 passengers
Why: On taking off from Singapore, the plane lost a wheel.
The plane’s sensors indicated the loss. The flight, however, continued to Newark and made a successful landing.

What: Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300 en route from New York JFK,NY (USA) to Prague
Where: Prague
When: Jan 14th 2012
Why: On approach to Prague, the plane developed a flaps problem. Pilots could not correct the problem, and aborted the landing. Still unable to correct, the flight made a fast landing with emergency services on standby.
Apparently the problem was fixed, as the plane only was an hour late on its return flight.

What: United Airlines Boeing 777-200 en route from Washington to Los Angeles,CA
Where: Kansas
When: Jul 20th 2010
Who: 255 passengers and 10 crew
Why: While en route over Kansas, the flight encountered severe turbulence which caused a number of injuries. The flight diverted to Denver Colorado where they made a safe landing and were met by emergency services. 21 passengers and 4 crew were hospitalized with one head injury, one broken leg plus assorted less serious injuries. The interior of the plane incurred minor damage.
A replacement flight was provided within four hours.
