    Saurya Airlines flight S1-721 made an emergency landing in Biratnagar, Nepal, on September 17th.

    The plane was flying from Kathmandu when it developed engine vibrations due to a bird strike.

    Summit Air Freight Flight Crashes in Nepal; 2 Killed, 3, Injured

    A Summit Air freight flight crashed on the runway of Tenzing–Hillary Airport, Lukla, Chaurikharka, Nepal, on May 27th.

    The Let L-410 flying from Kathmandu, Nepal, was about to land when it hit a tree near the runway and hit the land. The incident happened due to fog.

    The aircraft sustained technical problems.

    Captain and the first officer were killed in the crash. All three crew members sustained injuries.

    The incident remains under investigation.

    Yeti Airlines Jet Returns to Dhangadhi Due to Engine Failure

    Yeti airlinesA Yeti Airlines aircraft had to return and make an emergency landing at the Dhangadhi Airport in Dhangadhi, Nepal, on June 21.

    The plane, heading to Kathmandu, Nepal, was forced to return after it lost power to its left engine.

    All the passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Nepal Airlines Plane Suffers Bird Strike Near Kathmandu Airport

    Nepal Airlines flight RA-206 suffered a bird strike near Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, on November 18th.

    The incident happened when the Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Delhi, India, was on approach to Kathmandu Airport.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All one hundred and thirty-five people aboard remained unharmed.

    Fishtail Air Crashes in Nepal

    June 19, 2013
    A Fishtail Air helicopter with six aboard crashed in Nepal 250 miles nw of Katmandu.
    The helicopter crashed for unknown reasons in rainy and foggy conditions at 4:25 pm. It was enroute from Hilsa, near the China border.

    One passenger died in the crash, and four were injured, including the Italian pilot and Nepali co-pilot. The injured were taken by medical helicopter to hospitals near Muchu village.

    Batik Air Plane Rejects Takeoff From Kathmandu

    Batik Air flight OD-181 had to reject takeoff from Kathmandu, Nepal, on April 19th.

    The Boeing 737-900 plane was commencing takeoff for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed due to a configuration warning.

    All one hundred thirty-two passengers and seven crew members remained unharmed.
