    FedEx Plane Diverts to Whitehorse Airport for Emergency Landing

    FedExA FedEx Boeing 777 freighter had to make an unscheduled landing at the Whitehorse airport, Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada, shortly before 8 a.m. on September 4.

    According to a FedEx spokesperson, the flight, en-route from Memphis, Tennessee, to Anchorage, Alaska, was diverted for emergency landing “due to technical issues.”

    The Whitehorse emergency firefighters and medics were put on alert on the airport when the plane landed safely. No one was injured.

    The U.S. FAA is investigating.

    American Airlines Flight Suffers Bird Strike Near MSP Airport

    American Airlines flight AA-4678 suffered a bird strike near Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, Minnesota, on October 29th.

    The incident happened when the Embraer ERJ-175 plane flying from Miami, Florida, was on final approach to MSP Airport.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Montreal Airport Fire


    A Royal Air Maroc Boeing 767-36NER, Flight 206 from Casablanca, Morocco, had touched down at 4:30 p.m.. While the plane was being loaded, the belt loader caught fire.

    Two hundred fifty passengers evacuated by slide. Several were injured in the evacuation, and seven suffered smoke inhalation, five of whom were hospitalized. The plane is out of service.

    The fire in the belt located by the jet’s cargo door was reported at Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport at 4:47 pm on Nov 4, 2013.

    An investigation is underway.

    SkyWest Flight Diverts to Boise Due to Medical Emergency

    SkyWestSkyWest Airlines flight 6391 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Boise, Idaho on May 27.

    The flight was heading from Eugene, Oregon, to Denver, Colorado, when it had to be diverted due to a sick passenger.

    The Canadair Regional Jet 700, carrying 68 passengers, landed safely and the sick passenger was rushed to a hospital.

    According to airline spokesperson Marissa Snow, the plane was taken for inspection as it landed “overweight” due to excess fuel. Some of the passengers were accommodated in other flights while the others resumed their journey in another plane Wednesday evening.

    Jet2 Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Barcelona

    Jet2 flight LS-612 made an emergency landing in Barcelona, Spain, on October 30th.

    The Boeing 737-300 plane heading from Girona, Spain, to East Midlands Airport, England, was diverted due to a fuel leak.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Primera Air Nordic Plane Overruns Runway in Iceland

    Primera Air Nordic flight 6F-108 overran the end of the runway at Keflavik International Airport, Iceland, on April 28th.

    The incident happened after the Boeing 737-800 plane flying from Alicante, Spain, landed during heavy snowfall.

    There were 137 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    The incident is being investigated.
