    Cessna Crashed at Mount Pleasant Regional Airport, 2 Killed

    CessnaA single engine Cessna 150 plane crashed just about 200 yards off the runway at Mount Pleasant Regional Airport, Charleston County, South Carolina, at about 11:36 a.m. on August 14.

    According to Mount Pleasant Town Councilman Ken Glasson, both people aboard the plane died in the crash. They were later identified as the flight instructor Graham Borland, 33, of North Charleston and his student Matthew Gaither, 20, of Johns Island.

    The plane was registered in the name of Hanger Aviation Inc. of Johns Island.

    The accident is under investigation by the FAA and the NTSB.

    Dulles Crew Finds Dead Stowaway

    A South African Airways Airbus A340 at Dulles International Airport flew from Johannesburg, South Africa to Dakar, Senegal to Virginia with an extra passenger. Crew discovered the body in the wheel well on Thursday. FBI, U.S. customs, border patrol, fire and rescue crews and Dulles police responded to the scene. Fairfax County Medical Examiner’s Office has custody of the body.

    Delta Airlines Plane Returns to Bradley International Airport

    250px-Delta_logo.svgA Delta airlines flight had to make an emergency landing at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, on January 20.

    The plane took off for Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Kentucky, but had to return shortly afterwards after its landing gear failed to close.

    The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

    AA Flight Diverts to Indianapolis Due to Unruly Passenger

    american airlinesAmerican Airlines Flight 1284 had to make an emergency landing at Indianapolis International Airport, Indiana, on September 14.

    Authorities said the plane, en-route from Miami to Chicago, was diverted due to an unruly passenger. It is believed that 25-year-old Daniela Velez-Reyes, of Chicago, hit a passenger and a flight attendant.

    The plane landed uneventfully.

    Daniela was arrested while the plane was cleared to take off again.

    American Airlines Flight Returns to JFK Airport due to Engine Issue

    American Airlines flight AA-94 made an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on August 29th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Madrid, Spain, but had to turn back due to an engine issue.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Miami-Dade Police Department Chopper Makes Emergency Landing

    chopperA Police helicopter made an emergency landing near Miami Seaquarium in Key Biscayne, Florida, on September 15.

    According to Miami-Dade Police Department, the pilot requested an emergency landing after he noticed some mechanical issues in the aircraft.

    The helicopter landed safely.

    The pilot, who was the only one aboard, remained unhurt.
