Why: While en route, the plane encountered turbulence over the Atlantic.
A flight attendant was injured between Guam and Tokyo, about 100 minutes before landing in Tokyo. The plane made a safe landing in Tokyo

Why: After takeoff, the flight developed hydraulic problems with the landing gear.The plane had to return to Kochi. After landing, 75 passengers were accommodated on the 10:30 flight. The rest of the passengers were accommodated at hotels and promised the next available flights out.
Nepal Airlines Boeing Makes Emergency Landing in Kuala Lumpur
A Nepal Airlines flight RA-416 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu had to return and make an emergency landing due to a technical issue.
The Boeing 757 carrying around 54 people was on its way to Kathmandu when the pilots noticed vibration in the fan blade of its right engine. The Airline spokesperson, Ramhari Sharma, confirmed that the plane landed back in Kuala Lumpur about 45 minutes after it took off.
None of the passengers and crew members were hurt.
A Nepal Airlines official said “A technical team is arriving in Kuala Lumpur to fix the problem. We hope the aircraft would be released by Saturday evening and will probably start regular flights from Sunday.”

Ryanair Boeing Emergency Landing
What: Ryanair Boeing 737-800 en route from Lanzarote Spain to London
Where: Porto
When: Jun 2nd 2011
Why: The flight was east of porto when the pilot saw an indication of engine problems (technical malfunction.) The pilot diverted to Porto and made a safe landing at Porto.Passengers disembarked normally on the apron, without emergency slides.
Media reported smoke although Ryanair said there was no smoke.
A replacement jet was provided.
Small Plane Crash-Landed in a British Columbia Field
A small plane crash-landed in a field near Vernon airport in British Columbia, Canada, on December 23.
Authorities said the plane experienced engine failure shortly after it took off from Vernon airport.
According to Vernon’s fire captain Chris Robinson, “The pilot landed in the field just next to the airport. There was just a bit of damage to the plane.”
There were two people aboard including the pilot and his passenger; both of them suffered minor injuries.
