Why: While en route, the cabin began to smell “smokey.” The crew diverted to Cincinnati where they made a safe landing. They disembarked, and were able to leave Cincinnati around noon. The cause of the smokey smell was not released.

A US Airways express flight made an emergency landing at Burlington International Airport, Vermont, on March 26.The plane was heading from Philadelphia to Montreal when the pilot reported a windshield crack and requested an emergency landing. According to Burlington airport operations foreman Doug Wood, “The crack was reportedly getting larger and working its way down the windshield, so the pilots elected to get the plane on the ground as soon as possible and have it inspected before they did lose the windshield.”
The plane landed uneventfully and all 50 passengers aboard remained safe.
The airline said passengers will be transported to Montreal via bus.
Cessna Airplane Crashed Near Searcy Municipal Airport, Arkansas
A single engine Cessna airplane crashed in White County, around two miles towards south of the Searcy Municipal Airport.According to the chief deputy for the White County sheriff’s office, Phillip Miller, the accident was reported to 911 at about 2:50pm on Friday. The emergency teams rushed to scene where they found an overturned Cessna plane in a field.
There were two persons on board and the authorities confirmed that both of them escaped with only minor injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the cause of accident

Why: After takeoff from Ilulissat, smoke developed in the lavatory, cabin and cockpit and the fire detector went off The flight returned to Ilulissat where they made a safe landing.No smoke or fire was detected in the cabin, but on inspection, the high pressure bleed air on both left engines did not work.
Additionally, unidentified chemical fumes evaporated in to the air conditioning system.
Maintenance believes the problem has been corrected.

Single Engine Plane makes Emergency Landing in California Moorpark
A single engine plane made a safe emergency landing on 23 Freeway, near Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark area, California, at around 4:37 P.M. on January 11.
The pilot had to land the fixed-wing plane in emergency due to problems with its engine.
The plane landed uneventfully.
No injuries were reported.
Miami-Bound Insel Air Jet Diverts to Dominican Republic
An Insel Air plane made an emergency landing at Las Américas International Airport in Dominican Republic, on September 2.The MD-82 aircraft, heading from Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao to Miami, Florida, was diverted after a warning light indicated an engine malfunction.
The plane landed safely. All 55 passengers remained unharmed.
The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.
