    Qatar Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Sri Lanka

    Qatar Airways flight QR-841 had to divert for an emergency landing at Bandaranaike International Airport, Sri Lanka, on May 19th.

    The Boeing 787-800 plane heading from Phuket, Thailand, to Doha, Qatar, was diverted due to reports of fire on-board.

    Small Plane Crashes in Nebraska; 2 Killed

    A small plane crashed in a soybean field near Leshara, Nebraska, on the afternoon of July 24th.

    According to sources, two pilots were aboard the plane when it crashed.

    Both the pilots were killed in the crash.

    Germania Flug flight GM-3225 had to return and make an emergency landing in Pristina, Kosovo, on June 14th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Zurich, Switzerland, but had to turn back after a phone battery started emitting smoke.

    Sky West Airlines Plane Drops a Wheel in Utah

    Sky West Airlines flight DL-4813 flying on behalf of Delta Airlines made an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, Illinois, on September 20.

    The Canadair CRJ-900 flying from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Chicago, Illinois, dropped a wheel right after departing.

    The plane landed safely.

    There were no injuries reported.

    Lion Air Plane Crashes in Indonesia; 189 Feared Dead

    Lion Air flight JT-610 crashed into the Java Sea in Indonesia, on October 29th.

    The incident happened shortly after the Boeing 737-800 MAX plane took off from Jakarta, Indonesia.

    There were one hundred and eighty-nine people aboard at the time; all of them are feared dead.

    The plane was bound for Pangkal Pinang, Indonesia.

    The Boeing Company is deeply saddened by the loss of Lion Air Flight JT 610. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the families and loved ones of those on board.

    Boeing is providing technical assistance at the request and under the direction of government authorities investigating the accident. In accordance with international protocol, all inquiries about this accident investigation must be directed to the investigating authority in charge, the National Transportation Safety Committee of Indonesia.

    AA Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Landing Gear Issue

    American AirlinesAmerican Airlines flight AA-574 made an emergency landing in Tampa, Florida, on September 19th.

    The Airbus A320-200 was flying from Phoenix, Arizona, when the crew reported a landing gear issue and declared an emergency.
