    Update: Identifications made in Fire Island Inlet Accident

    The two men who died in the accident were 51-year-old Cyril McLavin, of Fresh Meadows in Queens, and 72-year-old Andrew Messana, from Bayside, Queens.

    The accident is under investigation.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Denver

    American Airlines flight AA-2615 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Denver, Colorado, on July 20th.

    The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, to Belgrade, Montana, was diverted due to loss of cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Ten die in Alaska Otter Crash

    All the remains have been recovered and sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Anchorage for autopsy I.D.

    On July 07, 2013, a Rediske Air Inc deHavilland DHC-3 Otter with 10 aboard was taking off from Soldotna Airport Alaska. THe crash was reported at 11:23 a.m.

    Nikiski pilot Willy Rediske and nine passengers died on impact. The crash occurred at Funny River Road. By the time Soldotna police, fire and medic personnel with Central Emergency Services and Alaska State Troopers responded, the plane was on fire.

    First responders are notifying family members and retrieving remains.

    Investigator Brice Banning who had been targeting the Asiana Airlines crash will instead be launching the Soldotna crash investigation.

    3 Killed, 1 Injured in Alaska Plane Crash

    A Cessna 206 plane crashed on Admiralty Island, Alaska, on April 8th.

    The commuter airplane, owned by Sunrise Aviation based in Wrangell, Alaska, was carrying four people when it went down near Angoon village.

    Three people were killed in the crash while the fourth one survived. She was airlifted to a hospital in Juneau.

    The crash is under investigation.

    What: United Airlines Boeing 737-700 en route from Houston to New York
    Where: Lake Charles Regional Airport
    When: June 12, 2012 9 pm
    Who: 88 passengers 3 injured
    Why: While flight attendants were about to serve drinks when the flight encountered severe turbulence that slammed them into the ceiling of the plane, then the floor.

    Three members of the flight crew were injured during the flight, one of them seriously.

    Pilots diverted to Lake Charles Regional Airport where the injured were taken to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

    They really have to come up with science that sees all upcoming turbulence, so the plane can avoid it before something really bad happens.

    Small Plane Crashed into Daycare Building in Fort Myers; 1 Killed, 1 Injured

    A small plane crashed into a daycare center in Fort Myers, Florida, on June 24th.

    One person was killed in the accident while another one was injured. The injured was shifted to a hospital.

    Authorities confirmed that there were no employees inside the Chico’s daycare center when the Piper PA-28 crashed into it.

    The incident is being investigated.
