The Boeing 777-200 plane heading from Seoul, South Korea, to London, United Kingdom, was diverted due to an engine fire indication.
The plane landed safely. All 199 people aboard remained unharmed.
Icelandair flight FI-631 had to return and make a safe emergency landing at Keflavik International Airport, Keflavik, Iceland, on May 21st.
The Boeing 767-300, en-route to Boston, Massachusetts, was climbing out of Keflavik’s runway when the crew detected retraction issue with the gear, prompting the plane to return.
The plane landed safely. All people onboard remained unharmed.
The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

What: Qantas Boeing 767-300 en route from Darwin to Brisbane
Where: Mount Isa
When: Jan 29th 2012
Who: 170 passengers
Why: While en route to Brisbane, a smokey odor developed in the cockpit. Pilots diverted to Mont Isa where they made a safe landing. Two Queensland Fire and Rescue Service firetrucks met the grounded plane. The investigation revealed no sign of smoke.
The 767 does not normally land in Mount Isa, so stairs were unavailable. Passengers exited with the assistance of a wheel chair lift.
A 737 has been sent as a replacement flight.

What: Aeroflot Airbus A321-200 en route from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Sochi
Where: Sochi
When: Mar 7th 2012
Who: 148 passengers
Why: The flight was on approach to Sochi when it was struck by lightning.
Pilots made a safe landing in Sochi, with visible damage to the plane.
Air India domestic flight AI-405 made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, India, on September 7.
The Airbus A320-200, en-route to Delhi, from Varanasi, had to be landed in emergency due to hydraulic failure, leading to heavy smoke.
The plane landed safely.
Five among the 146 passengers and 6 crew members sustained minor injuries as they were evacuated through slides.
United Airlines flight UA-1600 had to reject takeoff from Phoenix, Arizona, on June 29th.
The Boeing 737-900 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Newark, New Jersey, when the crew noticed a mechanical issue and rejected takeoff.
All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Japan Transocean Air flight NU-44 had to return and make an emergency landing at Naha Airport, Okinawa, Japan, on May 6th.
The Boeing 737-400 flying to Nagoya, Japan, had to return after the first officer’s windshield cracked.
The plane landed safely.
All 148 passengers and 5 crew members remained safe.
