    Jet Time Plane makes Safe Landing in Denmark after Pilot Feeling Sick

    Jet TimeJet Time flight SK-1289 made a safe landing at Billund Airport, Billund, Denmark, on July 31st.

    The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A flying from Copenhagen, Denmark, was mid-air when its first officer started feeling sick and developed cold sweat.

    The plane landed safely.

    No one was injured.

    Military Helicopter Crashes in Myanmar

    A Myanmar Air Force helicopter crashed into a reservoir near Meikhtila, Myanmar, on April 26th.

    Authorities said the Bell-206 helicopter, that took off from Meiktila airport, was on a training exercise when it went down due to engine failure.

    There were two pilots aboard at the time; both of them were rescued by fishermen.

    The incident is being investigated.

    Mooney Missing


    A Mooney en route from Palm Springs to San Diego Gillespie Field went missing on Wednesday October 9. The sheriff’s deputies helicopter search was suspended Wednesday due to gusty winds, and was found on Thursday at 1:00 a.m.

    The search for the plane registered to Andrew Thulin, of San Diego was centered four miles northeast of Julian, near the Volcan Mountain Wilderness. Emergency responders and searchers included US Border Patrol, deputies from Julian, and sheriff’s search and rescue.

    Rescuers pinged the pilot’s phone to locate the wreckage and the bodies of a man and woman.

    Wizz Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Iceland

    Wizz Air flight W6-1898 had to return and make an emergency landing in Keflavik, Iceland, on September 13th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Wroclaw, Poland, but had to turn back after an electronic cigarette of a passenger started emitting smoke.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and forty-seven people aboard remained unharmed.

    Bird-Hit AA Jet Diverts to Philadelphia International Airport

    american airlinesAmerican Airlines Flight 1889 made an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport, Pennsylvania, on September 21.

    The Airbus 319, en-route from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Hartford, Connecticut, had to be diverted after a bird struck its windshield.

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 114 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    What: Delta/Pinnacle Airlines Canadair CRJ-200 en route from Detroit to Portland
    Where: Albany
    When: Jan 18th 2012
    Who: 51 passengers and 3 crew
    Why: While en route, the plane developed problems with the fuel gauge.

    Pilots diverted to Albany where they made a safe landing. The problem took two hours to repair, and the flight resumed.
