    JetBlue Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Fort Lauderdale

    JetBlue flight B6-517 had to return and make an emergency landing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on May 13th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Mexico City, Mexico, but had to turn back due to the failure of weather radar.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    American Airlines Flight Diverts to Denver due to Engine Issue

    American Airlines flight AA-2400 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Denver, Colorado, on December 11th.

    The Airbus A319-100 plane heading from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, to Vail, Colorado, was diverted due to an engine issue.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Kolkata

    IndiGo flight 6E-237 made an emergency landing in Kolkata, India, on December 10th.

    The Airbus A320-200N plane flying from Jaipur, India, was descending toward Kolkata, India, when the crew declared an emergency due to smoke in the cockpit and cabin.

    The plane landed safely. No injuries were reported.

    What: Air Canada Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-300 en route from Cranbrook,BC to Vancouver,BC (Canada)
    Where: Vancouver
    When: Oct 20th 2009
    Why: While descending to land, a fire in the cockpit ensued. Although the fire was managed, the outer left windshield shattered. The plane landed safely, without reported injury.

    Cargo Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Hamilton

    Hamilton International AirportA DC-10-30F cargo plane had to return and make an emergency landing at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport in Ontario, Canada, on at about 5:30 p.m. on February 11.

    Emergency was declared aboard the plane, owned by Kelowna Flightcraft, after the crew reported “an abnormal smell” in the cockpit. The flight was heading from Hamilton to Calgary at the time.

    The plane landed uneventfully and all 3 crew members on-board remained unharmed.

    According to Company spokesperson Grant Stevens, a burnt out electrical component is believed to be the cause of smell.

    OLT Cabin Pressure, Fire, Emergency Diversion

    What: OLT Express Airbus A320-200 en route from Warsaw to Hurghada
    Where: Sofia
    When: May 17, 2012
    Who: 147 passengers and 8 crew
    Why: While en route, cabin lost pressure. The crew descended to save levels and diverted to Sophia.

    On descent, pilots reported a fire in the cabin. A hot oxygen generation unit set carpeting on fire. Fire extinguishers on board were used.

    Passengers disembarked without injury via slides.

    OLT Express is a new Polish airline whose first official flight was publicly touted as April 1, 2012. OLT was formerly LOT and also YES Airways, and is currently running under the ownership of Amber Gold Group.

    Looks like they need to work on their maintenance.
