Perth: Yet Another Airbus Emergency Landing

What: Emirates Airbus A340 Flight EK425 en route from Perth International Airport leaving at 6am bound for Dubai
Where: PERTH Westralia Airport, Australia
When: The pilot made a textbook emergency landing about 8.40am.
Who: All 120 passengers disembarked safely at about 9am..
Why:The pilot was forced to turn back after reporting smoke in the cabin. Fuel was dumped from the plane before it came in to land. The Airbus is the same set-up as the Qantas Airbus A330-300 that injured more than 70 people when it lost altitude. Passengers said no smoke was visible inside the jet.

    Compass Airlines Plane makes Emergency Landing in Utah after Tyre Damage

    compassCompass Airlines flight DL-5689 made a safe emergency landing at Denver International Airport, Denver, Colorado, on May 20th.

    The Embraer ERJ-175, heading from Utah, to Colorado, was mid-air when the crew reported a blown tyre and requested emergency services on standby.

    The plane received minor damage.

    All 79 people onboard remained unharmed.

    Emergency Landing in field, no injuries and little damage

    Where: land the plane safely in a field near Mark IV Parkway and Loop 820
    When: 10 am reported engine trouble
    Who: 2 people aboard
    Why: After reporting that the plane’s engine was running rough, the pilot was able to land in the field safely.

    Delta Airlines Flight Diverts to Corpus Christi International Airport

    ExpressJetExpressJet flight 5009, operating as a Delta connection, made an emergency landing at Corpus Christi International Airport, Texas, on December 23.

    The plane, heading from Monterrey, Mexico, to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia, was diverted after its air conditioning system stopped working.

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 71 passengers and 4 crew members aboard at the time; the airport reported that two passengers were given medical assistance in an air conditioned ambulance.

    Jet Blue Hydraulic Failure over Orlando

    What: Jetblue Embraer ERJ-190 en route from Stewart International Airport, Windsor ,NY to Orlando,FL
    Where: Orlando
    When: Aug 23rd 2011
    Who: 95 aboard
    Why: While en route, a hydraulic system failed.

    With brake failure pending prior to landing, the crew requested emergency services, which was on standby as the Jet landed in Orlando.

    The flight made a safe landing, and was towed off the runway.
