What: Westjet Airlines Boeing 737-700 en route from Calgary to Winnipeg Where: Winnipeg Canada When: May 29 2010 Who: 96 people on board Why: While on approach to Winnipeg the flight encountered turbulence which injured four: two flight attendants and two passengers. After the Boeing made a safe landing, two of the injured were hospitalized, and two went home after treatment at the airport.

What: Continental Airlines Boeing 777-200 en route from Newark,NJ to Tel Aviv Where: Rome When: Dec 24/5 2009 Who: 300 aboard Why: While en route, the crew received an indication of a problem (not released.) The flight diverted to Rome where the problem was handled, and then the flight continued to its destination.

Sixty-one people were aboard a FlyDubai Boeing 737 that crashed today on the second approach to Rostov-On-Don in Russia, in bad weather conditions.
The airline posted this statement:
There were no survivors. A raw video (below) of the crash shows the plane coming down in a fireball at a steep angle.
The Regional Emergencies Ministry said “The Boeing-737 fell amid poor visibility conditions 50-100 meters [164-328 feet] left of the runway.”
The plane was en route from Dubai to Russia’s Rostov-on-Don. The pilots failed to land on their first pass, and on the second pass crashed after they missed the runway. The time difference between both approaches at first report appears to be nearly 2 hours. The plane had been airborne for just over six hours when it came down; AV. Herald reports that the plane carried fuel for 8.31 hours.

What: Webjet Boeing 737 en route from Belo Horizonte to Sao Paulo Where: Belo Horizonte When: Aug 10, 2011 Who: 108 passengers Why: After takeoff, the pilots received indications of problems with the right engine.
Passengers reported hearing noise from the engine, which jarred the plane.
Pilots shut down the engine and diverted back to Belo Horizonte where they made a safe landing. There is no indication if it was a bird strike or some other type of mechanical problem.

What: Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche en route from Pentiction to Boundary Bay Where: Brenda Mines, 22 kilometres west of Peachland Canada When: August 13, 2012 Who: 4 aboard, 2 fatalities Why: The plane was off course when it crashed at 5 p.m. local time near Brenda Mines. One person died on the scene. Three passengers were hospitalized in Kelowna and Kamloops hospital, where one later died.
A Cormorant helicopter responded to the emergency beacon and did a flyby over the wreckage before rescuers parachuted in. BC Air Ambulance Service transported injured to the hospital; one was flown to Royal Inland Hospital.
The first victim was identified as Dallas Smith; the second victim to succumb to injuries was Lauren Sewell, 24. Smith was her boyfriend. The plane ride was a birthday present from Sewell to Smith. Video Below
