Why: After landing, while the plane was taxiing towards the bay, one of the tires on the nose-wheel deflated. The plane was briefly taken out of commission for repair, inconveniencing some passengers on the scheduled return flight. The pilot appeared to be unaware of the tire’s condition until pointed out on the runway.

Why: The flight had a normal takeoff, but forty minutes into the route, the pilot received a sensor warning about the plane’s doors. The jet returned to the airport, circled to burn off fuel, and made a hard landing during which a tire burst and the brakes jammed. The plane was stuck on the runway for four hours.Passengers were rebooked on a Thursday morning flight out and provided overnight hotel accommodations.
Officials of the Director General of Civil Aviation have arrived to begin the official inquiry.
Emirates Flight Diverts to India due to Medical Emergency
Emirates flight EK440 had to make an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, India on August 9th.The plane, heading from Dubai to Adelaide, Australia, was diverted after an elderly passenger, identified by some media sources as B Peter Richard, of Sydney, died onboard.
The plane landed uneventfully and later returned to Dubai due to Adelaide International Airport’s night-time flight restrictions.
The flight was scheduled to depart at 11 p.m.
Already Delayed Air India Express Flight Returns to Kerala
A Dubai-bound Air India Express flight IX 539 returned and made an emergency landing at the Thiruvananthapuram international airport, Kerala, India, at 10:30 p.m. on August 19.The flight was scheduled to take off at 4:30 p.m. local time, however, the passengers were told that it would be delayed due to a technical issue in the aircraft. The plane finally took off at 7:52 p.m. and just minutes after that, the decision for emergency landing was made following a failure in the electronics system.
The plane landed uneventfully after shedding extra fuel. All 195 passengers and crew members remained unhurt.
The passengers were booked in another flight for Wednesday morning.
Qatar Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Pilot Suffers Heart Attack
Qatar Airways flight QR-964 had to make an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, India, on August 26th.The plane heading from Doha, Qatar, to Bali, Indonesia, was diverted after one of the pilots suffered a heart attack.
The plane landed uneventfully. The pilot, Andre Dinu, 34, was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills.

Why: On approach to Kochi, the plane developed a loss of pressure in the hydraulics. (The landing gear would not retract.)The flight made a safe landing however, though it’s return flight was delayed. Passengers on the return flight were provided alternative transportation or hotel accommodations.
