    U.S. Air Force Plane Makes Emergency landing at Monterey Regional Airport

    A U.S. Air Force KC10 tanker plane made an emergency landing at Monterey Regional Airport, California, on December 8.

    Authorities said the plane that took off from Travis Air Force Base, near Fairfield, requested an emergency landing due to smoke in cabin.

    The plane landed safely. There were five crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    Korean Air Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Seoul

    Korean Air flight KE-51 made an emergency landing in Seoul, South Korea, on November 29th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Honolulu, Hawaii, but had to turn back after the crew noticed a cabin pressure problem.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and twenty-eight passengers aboard remained safe.

    Air France Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Suspected Fuel Leak

    Air France flight AF-1390 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on April 8th.

    The Airbus A319-100 plane heading form Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, to Istanbul, Turkey, was diverted due to a suspected fuel leak.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    Lufthansa Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Brussels

    Lufthansa flight LH-2286 had to make an emergency landing in Brussels, Belgium, on February 7th.

    The Airbus A319-100 plane was flying from Munich, Germany, when the crew reported a strong oil smell on-board which caused headache, eye irritations, and dizziness.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. The entire crew was taken to hospital.

    SkyWest’s Delta Connection Flight Hits a Bird

    SkyWestA SkyWest Airlines flight en route from Minneapolis to Rapid City had to return and land back after a bird hit the aircraft at about 4000 feet altitude.

    The Canadair CRJ-200 aircraft, belonging to SkyWest airlines and operating as a Delta airlines connection, was taking 50 passengers to Rapid City, South Dakota. The plane took off at about 9:48pm on April 22 and just after 10 minutes, experienced a bird strike. The pilot then immediately returned and landed at St. Paul International Airport, Minneapolis.

    The bird strike damaged the nose cone of the aircraft. The director of corporate communications for SkyWest Airlines, Marissa Snow confirmed that the bird strike forced the flight 4480 to return and land in Minneapolis.

    The passengers were accommodated in hotels and were taken to the Rapid City next day, through another plane.
