    LOT Polish Airlines Flight Returns to Warsaw due to Flaps Problem

    LOT Polish Airlines flight LO-3923 had to return and make an emergency landing in Warsaw, Poland, on November 8th.

    The plane took off for Krakow, Poland, but had to turn back due to an issues with the flaps.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    2 Killed after a Plane Crashed Near Lake Mead

    A two-seater small plane crashed and caught fire near the northern end of Lake Mead in Las Vegas.

    Authorities confirmed that two people were killed after the plane went down near Echo Bay Airport, at around 9 p.m. on June 12.

    The Clark County firefighters and volunteer units from Overton and Moapa responded at the scene.

    Both the bodies were recovered after fire crews extinguished the fire. Their identities have not so far been disclosed.

    Medical Helicopter Crashes in Arizona; 2 Killed, 1 Injured

    A medical helicopter crashed near Apache Junction, Arizona, on December 15.

    The helicopter, operated by Air Methods, was flying from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport to Globe when it went down.

    There were three crew members aboard at the time; two of them were killed. The deceased were identified as the pilot David Schneider, 51, of Gilbert, and flight nurse Chad Frary, 38, of Mesa.

    The third crew member, identified as the paramedic Derek Boehm, 38, of Gilbert, was critically injured.

    The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

    AA Plane Catches Fire at O’Hare International Airport; 8 Injured

    American EagleAmerican Airlines flight AA-383 had to reject take off from O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois, on October 28th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane was accelerating to take off for Miami, Florida, when it caught fire, prompting the crew to reject take off.

    The passengers were evacuated through slides. Eight people, including 7 passengers and 1 crew member, were injured and were taken to hospitals.

    It is believed that the fire sparked after failure of right hand engine.

    Stobart Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Smoke in Cockpit

    Stobart AirStobart Air flight RE-3701 made an emergency landing in Cork, Ireland, on August 24th.

    The plane was flying from Birmingham, England, when the crew noticed smoke in the cockpit and declared an emergency.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    Airbus Emergency Landing in Prague


    On May 13, 2013, an Aeroflot Airbus A320-214 en route from Sheremetyevo Int’l Moscow to Vaclav Havel Airport Prague made an emergency landing in Prague.

    The plane landed with emergency services on standby, and was towed from the main runway. Passengers disembarked and were taken to the gate by bus.

    The tires were damaged on landing (or the plane landed on damaged tires.
